Gunman, 28, 'terrified' his mother and neighbors after returning from Afghanistan tour before he opened fire on student night

He should never have been in Afghanistan to start with. When will we learn?

It's 7pm Toronto time, there was no headline of any kind on my Google News page. The top story was Trump and his disdain of reporters ! I'm sick of that idiotic fucker.
Today you could be standing next to someone who is trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness.

I have lost sympathy for America on this issue. It is a self inflicted wound and I tired of the thoughts and prayers nonsense.

When I first heard this shooting happened, I immediately went into speculation mode about the ethnic background of the shooter.

Black guy? Asian woman? Puerto Rican midget?

Life is just full of surprises, isn't it?
    Sincerely yours,
    Upset

He fits the overall profile of the average mass shooter pretty close.

one of the victims I saw in people was a survivor of the Las Vegas shooting, I'll see if I can find the link again

Twenty-seven-year-old Telemachus Orfanos, one of the victims slain late Wednesday when a gunman attacked a busy Southern California country bar, had survived the Las Vegas massacre little more than a year ago — and now, his grieving mother is demanding action from Washington.
Tel was killed at the Borderline, a bar and restaurant that had reportedly become something of a refuge, a place to gather for solace, for Vegas survivors in the area.
He was one of the venue’s security guards, friends tell PEOPLE.
