She made some classic movies for old movie buffs like me she is of course mostly remembered for her films with Fred Astaire, But did great work without him in 'Bachelor Mother' and 'Kitty Foyle' (For which she won an Oscar)
I think people like Ginger/Fred and Gene Kelly are kind of forgotten these days, unfortnately.
The survival of everyone on board depends on just one thing: finding someone on board who can not only fly this plane, but who didn't have fish for dinner.
Hey, Gene Kelly will NEVER be forgotten amongst movielovers. I mean ' An Amercan in Paris and 'Singin' in the rain' are embedden in movie history forever, And I'd rather F**k him than Fred, Though I love them both. I also wanna forgive my bad english since I am from Sweden
Ginger was good in "Stage Door"
I saw Follow the Fleet earlier this year. And after seeing Ginger Rogers in a short black skirt, I can tell you that I will never forget her. To say nothing of her awesome performance in Carefree:

The best part: she liked fishing and was a good shot.
I mean, what was there not to like?

I think she was a hot babe!! I think she was on of the sexiest actresses to come out of the 30's and 40's.
I loved Ginger in "The Major And The Minor" pretty funny movie for its time

This is the reason I love to look at Ginger & Fred .
Enjoy!!
ginger was bennett cerfs wife,phyliss,cousin,fwiw.
Like the old saying goes, Ginger did everything Fred did, only backwards and in heels!! That took a lot of talent.
My daughter had to a biography on Ginger, and had to dress as her part...... I was not happy putting ruby red lips, a glamour dress and a blonde wig on her. LOL Ginger was an amazing woman, and so beautiful.
Unfortunately, Ms Rogers had a lot of hair on her face and needed lots of makeup to cover it. Judy Garland was fired - no one says why - from a movie staring Ginger. Judy sent Ginger a huge shaving mug, accompanied by a note saying good luck.
I just got a book from ebay ." Shall we dance" by Sheridan Morley and I have to say its well illustrated and written.
Well worth a read for "ginger" fans.
Hot, glamourous and talented. Ginger had it all!
I keep seeing the scene from Green Mile when Michael Clark Duncan was watching Fred and Ginger I'm in Heaven
i wish ginger had rubys' part in 42nd st.
Just after finishing her bio.She did go on about her mum a bit.It was a good honest account and i enjoyed reading it.Good for all those ginger fans .Is her secretary Roberta still alive?
She was here in the early 90s, promoting / signing copies of her bio. Her rudeness to the staff and general hatefulness are legendary among those at the bookstore who had to deal with her.
I hate to think of her being this way, so in my own mind I've constructed a scenario whereby she was elderly and probably not feeling well. Most authors say that book tours can be very difficult, Ginger probably was just not really up to it.
LOVED her in the old Busby Berkeley musicals (she was kinda chunky then and SO cute)!!
thanks veuve, obviously i love this kinda stuff.
Back in the day Ginger was Gorgeous!! I would say second to My favorite Jean Harlow!!
I just was reading about all the hair on her face, I guess they didn't have the technology of today for hair removal!! LOL
She was still way sexy though!!!!!!!!!!!!!
