I liked it for the first season until it turned into softcore porn. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But I was watching for the surgery and disfigurement...same thing happened with Six feet Under.

A couple of years ago, I was suffering from a long illness. Can't remember what it was, but I had to be off work for like 6-8 weeks and was bored sh!tless. Although we live in the LA area, there are too many hills and huge, ancient trees to get a good clear shot for satellite TV, and the damn cable company doesn't serve our area either. Guess I should be grateful for electricity and running water.
In any event, I bought the DVD set of the first season and was hooked. Totally bizarre storylines plus lots of eye candy. Julian McMahon has to be the most perfect male species alive today. I have since bought Seasons 2, 3 and 4, but for some reason, I just can't get into Season 4 yet. Maybe I am jaded and now expecting too much?
Any day above ground is a good day.

I'm almost to the end of the first season on DVD from Blockbuster. I like it a lot, there are good plot lines and it's entertaining. And watching hot people in softcore between the plot lines is not too bad either. I quit smoking last month, so I've been watching things that keep my attention from smoking. I did all three seasons of Desperate Housewives on DVD and moved onto Nip Tuck. Is it just me, that Kimber woman looks about 40 years old???
Love the show!!! I tuned in a couple of years ago after I overheard one of my 8th grade students whispering about it.I knew a bit about it, since my husband had watched it from the beginning, (seems like he always wants to "talk privately" to me after it's over!) I really don't think that this students parents knew what their kid was watching. Anywho, I am hooked!!!!
You do understand, I ONLY watch it for the interesting storylines.

The Sharon Gless character was the best, this season. The TeddyManBear cracked me up.
Julia annoys me. She's so pathetic and whiny. Totally unconvincing as a lesbian, too.
I can't wait to see how they follow through.
Next up: Dirt (March2) and The Riches (March 10).

I was a total Nip/Tuck freak when it first came out. LOVED the show. After the carver... I lost interest for some reason. Julian rocks my socks though!
And Rescue Me is a great show. Very original... and surprisingly emotional... esp from Leary.
My fav is The Riches by far... I LOVE Eddie Izzard.. the funniest tranny on the planet!

the carver and the season afterwards were not very good. i kept on watching though....this season is really good.

Jennifer Coolidge, Sharon Gless, Rosie (ugh, at least her character was funny), Morgan Fairchild, Sherry Bellafonte, Joan Van Ark, (that was a great episode, "She's off her meds!"). That was just this season, alone.
The chick who plays Eden couldn't fake an orgasm convincingly, let alone act. The little girl who plays Annie, Julia and Sean's daughter, is a very odd looking child, as well.
yeah, but it is so weird how Matt and Annie actually look like they could be related. I think Matt is a weird looking dude as well.

I think she told her mother. Wasn't one of the things Eden said after the shooting "mommy'? Who knows-the amnesia storyline better be a twist cause that is just lame.

Oddly enough, the actor who plays Matt was in a film titled 'Teeth' where he plays a brother who molests his sister.
As for Matt being healed-everyone on that show seem to have amazing healing powers. Julia going through a late glass window,Sean getting his finger partly cut off,

She healed quite nicely,especially for someone who had rancid chicken fat injected into her stomach.(man, that idea is horrid)
OMG Hox, I totally forgot about Kimber and the chicken fat! That was some serious squee factor.
And yeah, the amnesia thing is so weak. I was a little disappointed with that.

I must admit, Nip/Tuck is my most guilty pleasure yet. It's been years since I've become attached to a show every season, like I have nip/Tuck. Ages ago, I liked ER, but then I lost track of ER after Lucy was killed, then only watched sparingly in between when I could catch a glimpse of Dr. Kovach. But Nip/Tuck is like a delicious liquid of drama and sex poured all over my tv screen, and I just can't get enough.
Also agree, Julia I don't buy as a lesbian. But she may not be a lesbian for long after the fast one her ex-hubby pulled on her in the final moments of the season finale. But then again, will Sean survive? Or will Candi make him a teddy bear too? Oh I can't wait for 2009 !!
Also, I love Dirt and Rescue Me, and sometimes The Riches, but not as much as Nip/Tuck.
PS ~ That was some nasty shit Candy did to that actor manager/agent whoever. With the needle. Wish we had spoiler tags, I don't wanna ruin it for anybody.

Funny, I've always thought Matt looks like Michael Jackson post-bleaching. He was on an interview show and looked normal but on Tit/Nut (porn reference, ha) he looks all Thriller-like. Poor Annie with the toxic shock syndrome seasons ago... she can't fake a good faint! WTF? J/k. Eden looks just way too plastic-- which is perfect for the show, I suppose.
I do love the show and want so bad to be the meat in the middle of a mcnamara/troy sandwich. I've not been so lucky to see any of the cast in person, but I did go to high school and basically grew up with Thad Luckinbill. He was the homosexual hotman who tried to seduce Christian. I couldn't stop giggling when Thad stepped out butt naked, ass all showing.

It just doesn't seem fair to get about 2 months of shows, then have to wait another 10 months for more. Aarrgghh!
PS ~ Althouhh it made for some interesting drama ... I hate that they moved to hollywood. I loved it so much better when they were in Florida. Also, I actually miss Chrsitian being called "asshole' by not-his-baby-but-the-baby-mamma. What was her name? How did you guys like all the product placement for the tequila that sponsors the show? I thought that was soooo obvious.
You're right, Mamma, doesn't seem fair we have to wait so long for the next season. Mad Men isn't coming back until mid-summer. That was another excellent show.
I just finished Season 3. I loved the Carver plotline but thought the resolution was semi-ridiculous. I kind of finally got that the show was a farce when Sean had sex with the Kimber doll, so I'm rolling with the punches and not taking it too seriously. I am continuing into Season 4.
What I really like about the show apart from the crazy plots, is that it's visually beautiful to watch, they have gorgeous homes, cars, clothes, workplaces, etc. That spa they started kicks some ass, I love those chandeliers, and I totally want some crystal sconces now in my own home. Just a feast for the eyes, including the cast.
Is Season 4 better?
