it was probably banned cause wasn't it at the time when he was sick he didnt talk about it, and did what he could to look good int he lime light? You can tell there he has lost weight, got some sores on his face, which some aids people i knew had the same look about them before they died. And maybe he just didn't want that pic to come out. Compare to todays pics that pic doesn't look bad at all to me. its like celebraties with out makeup deal to me.
He still looks beautiful to me....I love Freddie...bless his heart.
Freddie is one of the greatest.. sorely missed RIP
On another note.. here is one of the last photographs of the tzarian family.. killed in 1917.

For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
What's so good about goodbye, when the best was yet to come?
Jean Harlow-Any last picture of her other than watching the movie Saratoga?

The speakers on my laptop aren't that great so I can't really tell what he is saying (except for a woman who seems to be laughing directly into the recording device), but you would never guess that this guy would OD the very next day.
He does look a little tired and disheveled though. Being cross-addicted six ways to Sunday myself (but in recovery, thank you LORD), you always have to worry about HALT -- Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired. If you let yourself become any of these, you can quickly and easily find your recovery in the toilet.
Any day above ground is a good day.
God bless him, he was awesome. I saw him in the stage version of "Beauty and the Beast" several years ago here in LA in which he played Belle's father. He did a great job, and I remember being surprised that he was such a great stage actor, of course because I only knew him as Mr. C.
One thing I have to say is that I remember seeing this pic right after the premier and thinking how great he looked. In this pic he looks obviously frail and ill. I did a quick google and can't find the exact one, but did find the one below. Can't help but wonder how much the right angle, lighting and photoshop can change how a person looks.

Had to look up Iron Eyes Cody. Wasn't too sure who he was. Turns out he was Italian and from Louisiana. Go figure.
In the early days of Hollywood, Italian actors were used in most cowboy movies as Indians. The fact that Iron Eyes Cody was Italian doesn't surprise me at all. He did seem to adopt the Native American ways, though, and as a Native American myself, I say why not?
There's a picture in the Oliver Reed biography Evil Spirits of him the day he died with someone who worked in the hotel he was staying in. Haven't been able to find it online yet and not sure if I feel like tempting copyright infringement...
Yeah, I remember when it came out that Iron Eyes Cody wasn't really American Indian. Not too long after the commercial I believe. There were a lot of disillusioned people out there at that point. It was a strong, memorable ad with a point as sharp as a tack, and it just lost some of the mystique when we found out he was just an actor - especially since he sooo looked the part. Of course I was a long younger then........
And, as an aside, that commercial was the first thing I thought of when, in the first season of Mad Men, Don and family are out at a picnic and when they are leaving, Betty just shakes off the blanket and leaves all the trash there.
We (society?) really were a bunch of pigs back in the day.
