    Unhappy Norman Mailer Deathwatch?

Sadly, the comments from his former wife are not too upbeat.

Having lost literary giant Kurt Vonnegut several months ago, I certainly hope that Norm can pull through. However, I know that at his advanced age, usually the worst is to be expected.

He has had 6 wives! What a talented man and an interesting character. He actually stabbed his second wife at a party with a penknife.

Gore Vidal (who isn't looking to well these days either) is certainly more my cup of tea than Norman Mailer.

Though I'm not necessarily a fan of Mailer, I do realize that he's considered an important figure by many in his profession and wish him the best.

I don't have him on my death pool, but I am winning with my pick of Tom Poston...
