I think he's awesome, but that's just me. What do the rest of you think? Anyone got any dirt on him?
Let the games begin!

I am not a big Shatner fan (he is such an over-actor!!!!!!), but do like his sense of humor about himself.....and I hear he is great on "Boston Legal"
Always wondered about the mysterious death of his third wife--the one he found in the swimming pool.....anyone else remember this?
I wonder about that, too, but it sounded like she was wasted (actually chronically wasted) and drowned. He seemed genuinely grieving at the time; there were photos of him weeping at the "scene".
I like him. The hubby is the biggest Trekkie, and I think we both found him irritating in the 1970's- seemed really full of himself and too serious, but he seems to have mellowed with age. I _love_ his World of Warcraft commercial! He seems to have found the humor of his peculiar brand of fame over time. Some of his Priceline commercials are gold, too!
Now that he has learned to poke fun at himself I kinda like the guy.
Stay in Drugs. Eat your School. Don't do Vegetables.
He's pretty sharp to have made a second career out of self-deprecation.
His recording of "Common People" with Joe Jackson is a scream--check it out.
The drowning was tragic, but yes, strange. There's a 911 call floating around, no pun intended.
I love shatner - im no trekie but he is comedy gold! Both him & hoff should do a programme together!
He is my favorite.
Love him on Boston Legal.
Captain Kirk was my first "boyfriend". I was three. My mom says that I used to play Star Trek under our dinning room table. I don't really recall this, but I do remember having a crush on him. I, too, love him on Boston Legal.
William Shatner is the timeless face of a true pop culture icon. The older he gets, the better he gets. Long live William Shatner!
My husband and Bill circa 1980something. (Long before I met the husband.)
This picture never fails to crack me up, between the horsies on Shatner's sweater and Martin's Member's Only jacket and porn star moustache.
Great picture Mrs. Watson. I like Shatner more now than on Star Trek. I do love seeing him on the Twilight Zone episode where he's taking out the fortune teller tickets. That's one of my favorite episodes.
I read alot of the "Star Trek" cast didn't get along with him...to much ego!!
Especially when Lenoard Nimoy's Mr. Spock became so famous! That pissed William Shatner off because Capt. Kirk was always supposed to be number one in the show!!!
But I also heard he mellowed with age as well!
I have always liked him, loved him on the Twilight Zone's he did.

I think he is just great on Boston Legal..... nearly as good as James Spader (what a sexy mofo... I love him)
I love his "singing" as well...
I have always enjoyed him, but I have always felt that he may have a lot of inner personal demons/issues. I don't have anything to base that statement on, it's just a feeling I get with him.
His last CD rules. Yes, I own it. (Walks away, head bowed in shame.)
I know he has a daughter who was(is) in acting. She also was(is?) and owner of a clothing store that also had a psychic who would give readings while you bought clothing. Think the location of store is Beverly Hills.
We have a record of his, on vinyl, around here somewhere. I wanted to get rid of it on eBay, I'm something of a no clutter neat freak, and my husband had a major freak out. We have nothing to actually play a record on, but we have it, nonetheless. We also have a bunch of Star Trek movies on VHS that I knock the dust off of every week.
"My blue wife, she's at the bottom of the pool...."
I got a CD for Christmas a couple of years ago; his latest; a gag gift from my son.
It was actually quite enjoyable.
GO; BILL Go!!!
I've been a Trekkie since there were Trekkies. I remember wanting so badly to be beamed out of 7th grade P.E. I really had a thing for Spock. I know it wasn't logical. But I loved them all. I really love Patrick Stewart. I love all versions of Trek... Even the last one. I'm going to the Star Trek thing on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, which has the double whammy of being on the list of 'most haunted places!'
here is another with Shatner in which he is being a bit of a dick to a producer in the studio but
I love his style. it takes a few seconds to load but worth it.
he puts the producer through hell. good stuff.

Thank God Martin has no Death Hag interest except to tease me once in a while. I swiped that off his blog and I don't know if he'd be real pleased with me posting it here. (only like six people read his blog)
He was 17 in that picture and actually was trying to pick up chicks looking like that!
LMAO!
I don't know if any of you watch "Familly Guy", but Stewie, spoofing him singing "Rocket Man" is pee-ur-pants funny!!!!

I LOVE him here! I have his CD The Transformed Man, but I haven't listened to it in years.
Like him or hate him, the man has been around for a long time. You have to give him credit for that.
-K.
In the mid-60s, his kid took ice skating lessons at the same rink I did. (Iceland, in Van Nuys, on Calvert, behind the police station....for you locals). I know....BFD!!!
I only came here to see if one of my PMs was accidentally teleported here... I don't see it...
My favorite Captain was Picard. Sexy as hell.
Shatner's the man!! Shatner rocks!!
Bill also appeared in the original Outer Limits episode "Cold Hands, Warm Heart" in 1964, prior to signing on to Star Trek. In that OL episode, he plays an astronaut who has just returned from Venus and craves heat, even wearing a heavy bomber-type jacket when it is 80 degrees outside!!
His trademark over-acting comes in handy for this episode.
That episode where he panicked on the airliner was on the Twilight Zone.
Both The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits are similar but separate series and Bill did both of them prior to Star Trek.
I have a huge crush (still) on Leonard Nimoy
I just noticed the "kill me now" look in Shatner's eyes... as he stares into the final frontier.

A friend of mine had to take him to dinner in Florida a while back regarding a commercial for his hi-tech firm.Said he was a glutton at dinner and ordered like three lobster tails and took them to his hotel room after. The rest of the time he was acting bizarre,it shattered his whole idea of Shatner.
That is disappointing to hear - wtf did he do in his private room with those lobster tails?
He must have been Shatnerred... sorry lame I know. Was he acting like this?

wooooo woooooo woooooooooo
It was Lithgow in the movie & Shatner in the original TV episode about 20 years prior.
