    Graham Chapman

King Arthur himself. SURELY deserves a FAD page of his own, no?

I agree! He was a medical doctor but he never practiced medicine. His best friends were Keith Moon and Ringo Starr. Now that sounds like a fun crowd! He was one of the first gay celebrities to come out publicly ("and no pooftahs!") and we will probably have to end this thread because it's too silly.

We need to send Graham over to the Kurt Cobain thread. It's getting pretty silly with people doing the Time Warp again.

Oh I remember that, I forgot who kicked it over but there were ashes everywhere so they brought out a dustbuster. I nearly pissed myself laughing because it was so funny and utterly disgusting. Typical Pythons.

Love the Pythons! The urn falling over in that interview was hilarious. Have any of you seen John Cleese's eulogy to Graham on You Tube? Here's a link (hope it works): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7x9uhrg4Hs

I love all the Pythons. Life of Brian is the funniest film ever made!

After seeing John Cleese, Terry Jones, and Terry Gilliam last night on Countdown
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KncIP2djjZk, I had to revive this thread....with some regret that I failed to do it earlier this month on Oct. 4th, the 20th anniversary of Graham's death. I think he'd be pleased that Monty Python is still keeping us entertained after 40 yrs. of laughter. Cleese's eulogy was the best send off I can imagine....I would be honored by the singing of "The Bright Side of Life" at my funeral.

The 20th anniversary of Graham Chapman's death deserves being remembered. I watched the eulogy on YouTube tonight with Dennis.

I would be extremely broken up and grief-striken at Dennis' death and funeral (if he goes first) . I would be extremely lonely without Dennis. But with Dennis' sense of humor and feelings towards death, singing "The Bright Side of Life" would be appropriate at his funeral. I go through life as an optimist and am not afraid of dying. I enjoy life no matter how long I have on Earth.

Dennis: I want a LOT more years together with you!

There's probably a way to watch last night's Jimmy Fallon show on YouTube or something--he had the rest of the Pythonites on and they did some sketches and generally were hilarious. As part of an interview parody, Fallon asked a silly question along the lines of where'd you get the name Monty Python and they all started talking at once--for an extended number of minutes--it was really funny (and kind of amazing to think of how they did it, since it seemed spontaneous). They had a big cardboard figure of Graham standing behind their chairs.

I just watched it on Youtube. So respectfully disrespectful. Just love it. I've told my family a long time ago that "Always look on the bright side of life" should be played at my funeral.

I loooove Python! I had the world's only 3 sided LP as a kid 'Matching Tie And Handkerchief', absolutely hilarious. (The LP wasn't really 3 sided, you played side one, then side two, then went back to side one and started the LP in the 5th or 6th groove for side 3 it was very clever).

I'm not sure if anyone else has seen or heard this but if you search Youtube for the 'world's greatest one-liner' and watch the Python one it's great.

Basically the Python team were in Germany to talk about shows over there (they made some episodes in the German language - which are hilarious even without understanding them) and they were due to meet at a concentration camp, I forget which one, and were late so the guards wouldn't let them in and Graham said: 'tell them we're Jewish'.
