Thailand boys soccer team trapped in a cave.

Sadly. I don't think this will have a happy ending.

One diver who was rescuing them has already died. The weird thing is somewhere along the line someone claimed he was American so a fair amount of people on Twitter were giving him props saying they were proud to be American and this is a reason to stand rather than kneel and be a traitor. It didn't take long for others to question why they brought politics into it and were answered with insults. Eventually, it was confirmed the diver was acually from Thailand and while some rectified the mistake, others did nothing.

    Shocking.
    Twitter, huh?

Sure are some twits on Twitter.

I just read that the diver who died ran out of air while placing air tanks along the planned escape\evacuation route.
    WTF!?

That sounds almost as odd as starving to death in a grocery store.

I think what confused a lot of people about the diver was the use of the phrase "Navy Seal," underscoring the fact he was a member of the Thailand Navy group. Many Nations have their own version of SOG's.

I have been following this story. So glad they got four boys out. Hoping they get the rest of them out. What a nightmare. I hate caves.

And yes, why would you take all these young boys deep into a cave in monsoon season?

I think they were trying to sneak into America illegally just like all the dirty, lazy foreigners do.

I feel like half the people on this board have probably accidentally killed some kids in a cave.

The second rescue attempt is underway. They are trying to beat some fresh rains which could cause water levels to rise higher. I'd like to keep following this right now, but I need to get some sleep.

Now 8 boys in total have been rescued. That leaves 4 still in the cave, along with their coach. Rescue operations have been suspended for the day.

I had serious doubts about the outcome of this whole situation, looks like I may be wrong. I all but lost hope when the Navy Seal guy didn't make it.

I also had serious doubts about the outcome.
Happy to say I was wrong.

Maybe too early to tell because all are
    still in hospital.

I see a movie in the making. So sad the one SEAL was a casualty. This is truly a miracle.

Wonder if they are going to point fingers at the coach who led them in now?

True, hope the movie Hollywood doesn't try and 'whitewash" it ie
have famous white actors play the main parts.

also like I've said before the coach has a lot to answer too.
