No such things as "reality" shows, but some are more real than others, for example, Naked and Marooned on Animal Planet (no, not Naked and Afraid with their camera crews), where one man tries surviving on a desert island for 60 days with no tools, only cameras to record his struggles, but he does have a phone in case things get desperate, so, nothing matches real life except death.

The Old Man was very funny, my second favorite ??character? after Chumlee. The two of them together were straight comedy gold. RIP

I thought he was older than 77.

    RIP, Old Man.

I too, thought he was older. His mixed metaphors were hilarious. Reminded me a bit of my Dad. Must be a cranky ol' Navy Vet thingy.

I watched not because I thought it was real, I watched for the same reason I watched American Pickers. Just to see the items that would turn up.

I love Patches as done by Clarence Carter and thought it was really cool when a guy showed up with the Grammy award for the song. Rick wasn't that impressed and didn't buy it but I sure would have tried.

The old man was more like the pawn shop owners of old. Give you a price and if you weren't interested they didn't care. Take it or leave it.

I had not heard this one. That shows a lot of care and love for your kid. You always want your kid to do better, and have a better life, than you did.

True, this is how Rick Jr said he was so knowlegeable
about things at a early age.(This is way before the internet)
