IIRC, Heather's final words to her husband of 28 years as he was passing away (of synovial cancer) were to the effect that he could go and she would keep him safe in her heart. I sure hope someone said something like that to her.
(I remember it was kind of a shock when HE died, after a promising-- or maybe cruelly teasing-- remission. His poor Lady didn't even get that chance.)
