Winners are losers...who got up and gave it one more try ~ Dennis Deyoung
I read in the last ten years, just can't remember where, that John Holmes was cremated, not because he was afraid some one would dig him up and remove his "personals", but because he had AIDS and Funeral directors would not embalm anyone (at that time) who had it. Their rationale was it was too much to ask them to expose themselves by accident to the disease.
So I was just reading on another site about this porn star, Holly Landers, who apparently faked her death in 2003. It was reported that she died in a car accident in Costa Rica. Then I guess she recently showed up at some adult entertainment event.
Here it is on my 2nd favorite dead celebrities site:
http://www.einsiders.com/features/co...obituaries.php
Anyone know any more about this? I have googled and haven't found much more. Some of the sites are still listing her as dead.
she had twin boys today:

apparently, both babies just walked right out.

Ya know I always think about the time I saw Chloe Jones in Austin TX in like the early 90s..I was young like 10 ir 11 and I just remeber this girl walking into the gas station I was sitting in the car and saw this hot red sports car pull up and out came one of the most stunning girls I have seen ...and I was fasinated...I mean she was wearing this tight halter...and this is the thing that I was juts shocked about tight jeans with the ass cut ont and her ass cheeks poked out!!! I was like holy shit! But she walked right by and smiled at me and I smiled back and she just seemed so ...I dunno...just like I wnated to help her.....I remeber after finding out who she was after seeing her on a billboard as a feature dancer .....sad story.... Jonh Holmes was icky!!!
wow...great story Lisamarie! I find porn stars, especially tragic ones, fascinating...and I'm not especially into watching it - honestly! Like I said, previously on this thread - it really irks me when someone says (on this forum) when a porn star has died something along the lines of: "no great loss" how dare they be so judgemental? someone cares/cared about them!
TINNNAAAA!!!! BRING ME THE AXE!!!!
I agree I find them fasinating as well...Im not sure why just a lifestyle I have no concept of at all.....its like a peak into the nitty gritty world....while I stay safe in mine.....
Read on one site that she showed up at the 2009 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo... hmmmmm.... she allegedly left the following response regarding her "disappearance/death" on her website...
“Not accurate. I am still alive and I never left my location in Southern California (you think they’d check). I am saddened that it caused a lot of friends and folks who I admired and cared about a lot of pain. I am also saddened that a lot of fans were upset by this awful news. No one would believe that I was alive when I tried making contact, but seeing me in person finally proved it!”
I think that's an extreme point of view but it's odd to me you feel that way, yet are still comfortable enough with "people with emotional problems having sex on a screen."
I think this can all be a very touchy subject, because then it could lead to bringing up morals, and sometimes even spirituality. Truthfully, I believe there is no one correct view on Love, Relationships and Sex other than it comes down to each individuals own point of view.
I would never believe that every single person is distraught and emotionally unstable in the porn business. I would bet there are an equal amount of healthy individuals who do it as a job, or as a career they love and are emotionally stable and well-adjusted to life in general. Pornography is just another industry with statistics that would probably relate evenly to every other field out there.
--I love vile stuff...i want freaky deaky..lmao

Yeah, we really don't want to bring morality or *gasp* religion into such a discussion.I think this can all be a very touchy subject, because then it could lead to bringing up morals, and sometimes even spirituality. Truthfully, I believe there is no one correct view on Love, Relationships and Sex other than it comes down to each individuals own point of view.
If you really believe in the primacy of the individual conscience, you would have to say the pedophile's point of view is as valid as everyone else's, right?
Also, I wouldn't call pornography an "industry." It may be systematic work but it hardly creates anything.
But we digress from the topic.
I agree and disagree with you on this one. I agree that they are still human beings and the loss of their lives are indeed sad. That is a given.
BUT...there are lot's of folks that come from broken homes that do not run off and become porn stars. They suck it up and make a better life. I do believe Darwin's Law comes to play in the situation....if you join an "industry" that you know is filled with drugs/sex/violence then don't be surprised if very bad things happen. In most cases the stupid shall be punished. If you are willingly sodomized by strangers on a regular basis then there is a good chance you might catch something bad and die....or your regular "boyfriend" may get pissed about it eventually and do violent things to you. This is not rocket science, So I really do not think it is out of line to roll ones eyes and say "well they should have known better". I think in the 21st century most people know what bad news being a porn star is.
No disrespect to anyone intended....just my 2 cents.![]()
Same point can be made about the mainstream Hollywood/music industry, think I.
Anyone who watches porn, myself included, is in no position to comment on the participants' 'morality,' as we are complicit in putting them there in the first place by consuming their product. How can that NOT be considered an industry? It's a HUGE industry, and a legitimate one too, at least as far as the law is concerned.
Today is Stacey (Britney Madison) Pfeiffer's 25th birthday. Rest well, Stacey.
I agree. You have sex therapists suggesting the watching of it to "spice" up a marriage, right? Anyone who watches it shouldn't have anything to say about the morality of the individuals making it. It is a huge industry! However, I prefer watching "Anne of Green Gables" on video from the library.
Thanks rj for the information on Anna Malle and Layla for posting the pictures. From what I've read, Anna had a lot going for her when she died, making her death all the more poignant. Have you heard anything about the "friend" who was driving the car? Apparently, wherever they were going, they were running late as the driver decided to do a u-turn rather than wait in the backed up traffic. Or perhaps the driver was simply the impatient type. It just seems odd how little seems to be known about the circumstances of that particular car trip, the driver, where they had been and where they were going ...
Well...I don't like porn, I don't watch porn but I feel sorry for some people in the industry like Shauna Grant, Savy, Britney Madison. I wonder why young girls like them fell into this industry and lost or wasted their lives. I respect the human beings, they were persons that suffered, cried, enjoyed, felt pains like all of us.

Marion, I love your post. And I agree with every word of it.
I, too, mourn the loss of valuable human beings, who should have been told that they were worth much more than isolated body parts and the ability to perform on cue. The thought that they didn't know that, sickens me.
I had this conversation with my ex not that long ago. He was commenting on how gawd awful tragic that story of Dick Van Dyke's niece was, and what a bad industry it was. Then like a week later, he's "previewing" his latest purchase. I asked him how he could separate the two. Apparently he finds it very easy to compartmentalize on this issue.
You can't "nu uh" death. That's bad debating.
Not to detract from the ladies, let us not forget the unfortunate demise of the guys. Joey Stefano.joey09.jpg Dead at the age of 26. Twenty six!! Too damn young.
Oh, that's just a guy thing. They can easily separate the person and the act and join 'em back (no pun) when needed.
Anyway, I think the people that get into porn aren't necessarily damaged or looking to screw up their lives. Like it or not, it is an industry that looks appealing to some from the outside and some of them do make it work for them. As many tragic stories there are, there are stories of people who were in the industry, left and now live 'normal' lives.
I think it's like any other job. There's good points and obvious bad ones and either you let the bad ones take you down or you muddle through.
"You live alone, creating your life as you go." - Edie Sedgwick
A biography of Joey titled Wonderbread and Ecstacy was published after he died of a drug overdose. It revealed that yes, he was extremely hot on screen, and he looked like he really enjoyed what he was doing (because he actually WAS enjoying it), sex was ALL he could do. He never finished high school, and the only two "legit" jobs he was known to have had were a brief stint at a home improvement center, and another as a convenience store clerk.
He had about two really successful years when he earned a great deal of money, but at year's end he had no idea where the money had gone. It appears that most of it went up his arm and up his nose.
It's tempting to blame the lifestyle as leading to his death, but I really think the same thing eventually would have happened to Joey, famous or not. Some people seem to be programmed to self-destruct, and I really think he was one of them.
You say you've lost your mind? Well, if you ever find it again, please look and see if mine is there too!
There are a lot of people like that, in all walks of life.
My mother always tells the story of a woman she met in the Yukon who made her fortune hooking at mardi gras. She wasn't particularly outwardly damaged, she had a great deal of money, and after retiring had married happily. I think that as hard as the porn industry is on some, there are probably quite a few people that find some degree of success in it, or at least 'survive' it better.Anyway, I think the people that get into porn aren't necessarily damaged or looking to screw up their lives. Like it or not, it is an industry that looks appealing to some from the outside and some of them do make it work for them. Aids , suicide or auto accident ... seems to be the only choices on the death menu of a porn star ...
R.I.P.
I just went through the dead porn star data base again and man a lot of them died in auto accidents , wtf is up with that , all that sex makes them shitty drivers ... its a cool site and I also never realized there were so many of them dead ...

I agree. He was a kid who had a heavy carnal appetite and a love for the "candy" which contributed to his death. Also, when you are young, you tend to think you are indestructible.
I haven't read the book you mentioned because I wanted to know more before he went into porn and the reviews of the book were not so great.

I've made the same observation, and wondered the same thing. I suppose a high rate of drug use makes the problem worse, and auto accidents are probably one of the leading causes of death among young people in general... no figures to back up my theory... just an educated guess.

Just check out Belladonna's website, which I won't post.
And people think I have an active imagination....![]()
What about Blue Iris...she still on life support?
Yes and no. He had a notorious love affair with drugs and during the last year or so, during the downward spiral of his life, (not finding work and so forth) discovered he had HIV.
So, even if he didn't OD on purpose, I would imagine he was "on the fence", becoming more careless and reckless with his own health.
