Some compare Elvis to God.. I mean He is good, but He is no Elvis
It would be a German-American-Californian Uebergroup called The New Skynyrds of the Grateful Dead (alternatively Onkel Johann's Band):
Drums: Keith Moon (because he's been on tour with some of these guys before and knows how to party)
Bass: John Entwistle
Guitar I: Jerry Garcia
Guitar II: Steve Gaines
Fiddles: Vassar Clements & J.S. Bach
Keyboard: W.A. Mozart, maybe with Bach doubling on organ for "Dark Star"
Lead vocals: Ronnie Van Zant
Guest lyricist: Phil Ochs
Oh, it would be great - but Bach and Mozart would probably be bitching about one another constantly behind their backs. Although everything might be sympatico once Jerry rolls a couple of fat ones and passes them around.
If there's a rock-n-roll heaven, you know they've got one hell of a band.
Marc Bolan!!
Michael Jackson
Nirvana with Kurt obviously
and GG Allin, but from quite a distance haha
hahaha Oh the tomfoolery of THAT lineup. I'd pay to see the looks on Bach's and Mozart's faces at the first rehearsal when Moon goes absolute ape shit on the drum set. No way Bach would last in that band. Mozart and Moon would have him concealed in a crate and shipped to the north pole within a week.
Freddie Mercury - I was too young to appreciate how amazing he was the first time around.
Don't know about the North Pole, but yeah, Bach is definitely going to get pranked by Moon, and Garcia's friends will be on a perpetual quest to slip LSD into tubby's beer. Mein Gott, zat ist en violation uff ze Reinheitsgebot!
It's going to get really awkward when fans start saying "The fat man ROCKS!" and Bach thinks "Yeah dude, it's ALL about me!" On the other hand, he might think they're saying "The fat man is Bach!"
Bach might get fired after he starts wandering away from gigs to try out people's (pipe) organs.
Don't underestimate Ronnie's personnel management skills, however.
Drums - Keith Moon/John Bonham
Bass - Cliff Burton
Guitars - Hendrix, Randy Rhoades
Keyboards - Richard Wright (Pink Floyd's keyboardist)
Vocals - Ian Curtis/Jim Morrison
Jimbo and the Doors........................
Would have to be Jim Morrison followed by Bon Scott
John Lennon.
Carolyn(1958-2009) always in my heart.
Freddie Mercury.
To understand the living, you got to commune with the dead.
Minerva
Janis Joplin doing a duet with Amy Winehouse...now that would be worth paying to see.
Dan Fogelberg
To my Father. Even though you have crossed the plane, you will always be with me.
You were not just my Father, but my hero. My life has been a poor attempt to be like you
You taught me music, vocals, and how to fight. I can only hope I am half the man you are
When I close my eyes I can see you. And finally, Thank you Dad. for everything.
March 1934-July 2016

ETA: Amy Winehouse
Nick Drake and watch them scramble to give him contracts

to dig up more members for a 2nd band, be my guest!
have at it guys, and have fun!
Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Wagner, Vivaldi, Palestrina, Guesuldo, Tallis etc ...... i'd like to hear what all those sort of classical genius guys could do with a multi track recorder

Amy Winehouse
Bon Scott
Jim Morrison

Janis Joplin
This is a tough question.
Most of the ones I think of, I think it might ruin something about them if they were to have not died. It would be interesting to see someone like Buddy Holly come back to see what he would do with the technology of these days (kind of like what human was saying with the classical composers) since he was pretty inventive in his day.
The only other one I can think of is Ian Curtis. I'm curious to see what would have become of Joy Division if he hadn't killed himself. Would they have been as big as New Order was? Would they have broken up, with BS and the others forming NO anyway? You never know. But I think for most people it's the mystique and not knowing what could have happened and not have to see them old and trying to revive their careers after passing their prime that keeps them interesting. Not saying it's better they died or anything, but there is something about a person who is taken from us too early that makes you wonder "what if". And sadly when I think of the what if and the reality of them just fading into relative obscurity then maybe doing a comeback I think maybe it's better. I believe things happen for a reason, no matter how bad (trust me I've been dealt a lot of shit sandwiches that I'm still not sure what the reason would be) and try and just live by that.

Off the top of my mind:
Buddy Holly - the voice and unique look almost perfectly define 50's rock.
Freddie Mercury - oh that powerful, beautiful voice combined with his showmanship. It comes along once in a lifetime.
Both gentlemen died well before their time.
Would love to hear Jimi Hendrix play.
Senior Death Hag
Hank Sr.........
freddie, Freddie, FREDDIE!!!!!!!
Patsy Cline, Hank Sr and Janis Joplin...and ELVIS!
Freddie Mercury, Patsy Cline and Jim Croce

Jimi Hendrix and Michael Huthence

Patsy Cline and Roy Orbison
Brought back from where?
How come all you guys keep talking about those dead people?
A faulty hypothesis forming:
A German scientist using Iranian physics and French mathematics.
Keith moon who i think couldve done comedic acting. Jim morrison. He simply died too young and had more to give. Anyone who died too young, jimi, kurt, amy....they had much more music in them. The average death age of musicians is 35. The lifestyle kills ya.
Michael Hutchence
Michael Jackson
Jim Morrison
Janis Joplin
Jimi Hendrix
I could go on and on, but those would be my top five!
