Captain D's grilled tilapia on a bed of wild rice, baked potato with lite margarine, and corn on the cob. I went over my 1,200 cal budget by 80 cals. Not too bad when given that I usually stay below my goal.

To my Father. Even though you have crossed the plane, you will always be with me.
You were not just my Father, but my hero. My life has been a poor attempt to be like you
You taught me music, vocals, and how to fight. I can only hope I am half the man you are
When I close my eyes I can see you. And finally, Thank you Dad. for everything.

Fend for yourself. Tonight is hubby's turn to go see Schmoo alone. Little Bit and I are going to have TV dinners and girl time.

Ham, steamed green beans, roasted asparagus, and Little Bit's "mashin' 'tatoes." Single slices of chocolate pie for Hubby and Little Bit, Weight Watchers turtle sundae for me.

Brittany and Alex are on the Advocare diet, so we had a light menu: boiled baby carrots, French green beans, deviled eggs, and rolls, with whipped cream topped strawberries and angel food cake.

Roasted asparagus was a bust. Time was too long. Oh, well, I had green beans in place of the asparagus, so it was fine.

On Friday, I tried asparagus for the first time and I have to say, I've eaten better lawn grass than that. Ew.

I had canned beef stew, Popsicles, and angel food cake that Brittany sent home. The cake didn't run my sugar up at dinner, no reason it would tonight; however, I'm not going to eat anymore of it.

I love asparagus, I just usually get canned because it doesn't come frozen. This time I tried fresh. I attempted to roast it with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, and a sprinkling of parmesan cheese. I think the time was too long, or the temperature was too hot. 25 minutes at 400 was too much. I think next time I'll try 20 minutes at 350. I'm getting adventurous with my veggies now that I'm on a healthy eating kick. I want to try roasted Brussels sprouts next. When I make a "weird" veggie, I always make corn or green beans for everyone else.

I cannot think of Brussels sprouts without giggling at what Sissy once let slip. Instead of saying she liked them with butter, she goes "I like Brussels sprouts with buggers." Haha.

That's what Little Bit had this morning. McDonald's breakfast. I had a McDonald's coffee. Saved my calories for all the ham I had for lunch.

Pharmacy dinner at a fancy restaurant I had a sirloin, broccolini, crispy polenta, some sorta fancy mushroom, a fancy schmancy salad, and a creamy milk chocolate pot de creme that was to DIE for.... And it was all free cause we watched a webinar and learned about a new insulin that came out last week
It was amazing and incredibly delicious, but it put me WAAAAY over my calorie limit and I'm not eating the rest of the week
Missing my Pa every day. RIP Daddy ❤️♥️

Crap, forgot to take something out of the freezer. Probably ham sammies or ham and eggs. Need to finish the ham.

Hubby's working. I made buffalo grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and steamed asparagus for "Sunday dinner" after church.

Little Bit heated up a can of SpaghettiOs for dinner, and since I hadn't had nearly enough calories today, I made breakfast for dinner. Two eggs over easy, one bagel, half a grapefruit, and yogurt. That finally put me at enough calories so that MyFitnessPal didn't yell at me.

The tacos we were supposed to have last week. I had bought tortillas, seasoning, salsas, chips, and a box of Mexican rice. Just needed meat, lettuce, a tomato, and sour cream, which I just got tonight. I wait until I'm ready to make them and THEN get that stuff.
