I haven't been on here for a long time so thought I should contribute. I was reading "You will never eat lunch in this town again" which I thought was a really great book. In the book Julia Philips (the author) mentions suicides and gives the example of Connie Hipwell. She wasn't famous, she was just a young girl from the Midwest on the periphery of the movie world, probably overawed by it all. She was fired and eventually committed suicide after a spell in a psychiatric hospital. She died in her childhood bedroom in Correctionville, Iowa. I looked up Correctionville on GoogleEarth and it looks like the sort of place I would have liked to grow up in. It was a sad story.
