A shot from the film, shows Margot Robbie and the other actors as they walk to El Coyote for dinner. Why is the actor playing Voyteck a foot taller then the rest ,and why does he have a beard ? I looked up the actor playing him his name is Costa Ronin, and he is 6 ft 4 ! Frykowski was 5 ft 10 and clean shaven. Someone is not paying attention .Click image for larger version.

I'd always heard that Sharon was fond of MILK & PEARLS but after seeing this in the catalogue for the upcoming auction with Julien's I'm wondering if it was actually this MINK & PEARLS that she loved.

In a recent interview Debra claims that she picked out a flower print dress for Sharon's funeral. Everything I have read say it was friend Victor Lownes who chose the dress, a blue and yellow Pucci. As much as I like Debra and all she has done, I think she bends the truth a little. I'll go with the Pucci.Click image for larger version.

Yes, I think I saw that on the E! True Hollywood Story The Last Days of Sharon Tate the 1999 documentery about Sharon. Victor Lownes said he had to go in the murder house and get one of Sharon's dresses out of her closet to bury her in. he said there was still dry blood all in the house and the word PIG was still on the front door and he wanted to get out of there as fast as he could.Victor Lownes and I think Gene Gutowski made the funeral arrangements for Sharon. and Patti said Doris was at least glad they buried Sharon [ and the baby] at a catholic cemetery.

It's been a while since I read about which Pucci mini Sharon was supposedly buried in but for some reason I was thinking it might have been this one ......Click image for larger version.

It's been documented in a few articles, and if I'm not mistaken it's in Greg King's book also. The picture that KELT posted is far more appropriate. But, I suppose Victor chose the first thing he saw, I don't blame him for wanting to get out of there as quickly as possible. Other then the people who prepared her for burial the only other person who would have seen what she was wearing was her father. Found these pics of Abigail circa 1961, lovely girl.Click image for larger version.

Sharon in 1963. With that heavy early 60s make-up she really looks like a mannequin come to life.

I saw a trailer for Hilary Duff's portrayal of Sharon in The haunting of Sharon Tate. they are making things up like Sharon having nightmares about "Charlie" her crying hysterically to Gibby & Voytek. the movie apparently makes look like Sharon knew Manson, and Sharon having nighmares or premonitions about the 4 of them Sharon, Jay, Abigail & Voytek being murdered. Voytek and Abigail try to assure Sharon that nothing is going to happen to them and Sharon is upset over Roman being away and hoping he gets back before the baby is born. no wonder Debra condemed this movie. that was just the trailer I saw on youtube. imagine watching the whole thing.

Bobby Beausoleil has been granted parole. now it's up to the new California governor Gavin Newsom to decide if he gets out. Bobby was in jail when Sharon & the others were murdered. Debra Tate is worried the new Gov might free him and possibly Leslie and Bruce Davis too. with Manson gone Tex Watson now 73, probably has the least chance of getting out maybe Krenwinkel behind him.

On The Turner Classic movie channel, they talked about
her first big film : Eye of the Devil (1966) and
that she would be a big star at the time when the film
came out and she would be a star for years to come.

I have that film, she is really convincing in the role. There is still some debate as to whether or not her lines were dubbed in post production. I've seen two different trailers, one she is speaking in her own voice , the other with a British accent. It's hard to tell, but if it is her she had a great voice coach.

Thank You for saying this because before I seen the film they had the trailer on
Turner Classic Movies and I thought the voices were very kind of off.

It's possible Leslie and Bobby Beausoleil may both be free by the time the 50th anniversary of their crimes roll around in August. I sure hope not. Bruce Davis has another hearing this year. there is a new Governor to decide if they get out or not.

I'm usually a bleeding heart when it comes to old women in prison, but I think that some sentences correctly call for life in prison. It should be life. No matter how many college degrees or how many other inmates they have helped, they took a life in a cruel, horrible manner. Life means life.

Watched her in Twelve Plus One last night, which I have seen many times. You can see how she was developing her comedic skills and timing. She is so good in it.

I can be a softy when it comes to some things, but not this. The victims are not getting a second chance, so I feel she does not deserve the privilege of having one.

I know. I have heard people say for years that Leslie will probably be released even Stephen Kay once said he thought she would get out eventually and Doris Tate years ago before her death has said Leslie had the best chance of the Tate-LaBianca killers. I guess one reason she only had 2 counts of murder against her. while Tex & Pat have 7 !! and of course Susan is dead and Manson too now.I too hope they never get released unless they go the way Atkins and Manson did. I liked both The Wrecking Crew and 13 Chairs. Sharon was funny in both. and Don't Make Waves where she asked Tony Curtis if she was attractive and she said "If you were a man" he had a confused look on his face and said "If I were a man?"

Let's hope not. That scene in Don't Make Waves is very funny. Her timing for the line was spot on.

The movie isn't about Sharon Tate. It's about the DiCaprio and Pitt characters in a Hollywood that they don't recognize anymore. The Tate murders are only a part of it. I've read a lot of articles and watched a lot of YouTube footage and Tarantino is doing amazing things to make this film look as authentic as possible. Shutting down blocks of the Sunset Strip at night to film with time appropriate automobiles and store fronts changed back to what they were in 1969. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Dianne Lake joined Manson's gang when she was 13. Some of the members were from privileged backgrounds (van Houten was a homecoming queen; 'Tex' Watson was a high school honor student), but others like Lake were fleeing dysfunctional upbringings and were easy prey for Manson, who offered them the "family" they never knew growing up. It was Lake that Watson confessed to about having committed the Tate-LaBianca murders after they all fled to Death Valley, where Manson thought the law would never catch up with them.

Lake testified against Manson in court to help put him away for life, and says in her book the only way she could keep her composure on the witness stand was by never making eye contact with Charlie when he was sitting with his lawyers "shooting daggers" at her with his demonic gaze. Fascinating first-person account of life inside The Family.

    Teaser trailer.

I'm sure Sharon's murder will be included, and it will be gory, this is Tarantino afterall.

Looks like the Bruce Lee casting was spot on though.

I just saw the trailer off FB. I agree with you, Wrath. What is Hollywood in 1969 without the Tate murders? Bruce Lee was spot on right down to his moves. The Little Dragon is another tie-in to Sharon via The Wrecking Crew (choreographer for the fight scenes), and least we forget, for a short time he was a suspect.

What an insult to Joanna. She is featured on the Blu-ray edition of Casino Royale talking about her part in it. She still looks wonderful. Here is a link to a podcast made in 2016, that voice ! https://www.raidersfm.com/podcast/joanna-pettet/

I agree. With all the blond actresses who resemble Joanna, I don't understand his reasoning--unless somebody lobbied for her to get the part.

She is all wrong for the part. In an earlier post I commented on the casting of the actor playing Voyteck who is 6'4'' and is portraying him with a beard ! I don't get his casting choices at all.

Movie: Once upon a time in hollywood

There seems to be a lot of publicity about Tarantino's film "Once upon a time in hollywood' which the Tate-LaBianca murders as part of the story. I would be curious to know how people feel about the upcoming film and whether they intend to see it. The new trailer came out recently and it looks exciting. I was about 13-14 years old in 1969 and I had a glamorized feeling about Hollywood and the whole hippie scene. I would like to see the movie but am also anxious about how Tarantino will show the murders--don't know if i could sit through it. So does anyone have an opinion!

I would guess that the actor or actress's appearance probably isn't even a concern for Tarantino. The general public doesn't know what any of these people look like, other than Manson. Most people probably couldn't even pick Sharon Tate out of a lineup, let alone Voyteck. This movie isn't being made for FAD members. 99% of the people who see the movie won't know the difference anyway; they'll just want to see it because it's the new Tarantino film.
    Sincerely yours,
    Upset

This is being discussed right now in the Sharon Tate thread. Probably a new thread was not necessary.

I would disagree because the movie is not just about the Manson murders. However, since the talk is about Tate/LaBianca, it belongs here.

The premise: a television actor and his stunt double embark on an odyssey to make a name for themselves in the film industry. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Once_U...e_in_Hollywood If someone would like to create a thread based on the plot, then go for it.

I've just been listening to the new Podcast Scott does with Mike Dorsey and Mike said Zak Bagans from Ghost Adventures bought it. I did some looking around and he also has a painting that is reportedly made of Manson's ashes as well as other items of his including teeth, bone fragments, the gown he was wearing at the time and the sheet that covered him as well as the toe tag given to him by Mansons's grandson because they caused 'paranormal activity' at his home.

Because of this, someone has started a petition to stop him displaying the items anywhere near each other for obvious reasons. It was posted a week ago and they have asked for 500 signatures but as of now they are only at 299.

Yeah, that's true. Any FAD members who will see the film will notice that or any other inconsistencies though. And we should ! LOL.

I was able to see The Haunting Of Sharon Tate on a streaming site. A lot of details were wrong, naturally ! Steve Parent had more to do in the events, in fact he lived on the estate in a trailer ! Twist near the end.

I read that Bobby Beausolei who was found suitable for parole was blocked by Gov. Newsom. I know Bobby was already in jail when Sharon was murdered. this might not bode well for Leslie.

No idea. Probably just another Hollywood wife or girlfriend.
