It's happened a lot this year. It makes me wonder how many other cases before Cooper were murders disguised as accidents and the parent got away with it? Ross thought he was so damn slick and had the perfect murder planned since people who have done the same thing before went unpunished and faking an abduction is harder to pull off. I think he wanted to leave his wife, but didn't want to pay child support. If he was childless, he would have no obligation to her at all. He could sext women to his heart's content, hookup with teenagers, and have the proceeds from life insurance and donations to do whatever he wanted. He makes me ill.

I heard today that this bastard will not be getting the death penalty.....they have a slew of charges against him, hopefully they will house him in a cell with a "sex hungry convict" who needs a bitch. But I have heard that those that abuse and kill children get a very rough life in prison from other convicts. I think everyday he should be strapped in a hot van and left till he is on the brink of death...then take him out and do it all over again the next day. here is a link to the story, but they are not saying why no death penalty. http://www.buzzfeed.com/claudiakoern...ot-car#2ea0hjn

That's true, I just hope to live long enough to see karma in action for this jerk. Maybe not seeking the death penalty is a good strategic move for prosecutors if they feel like they don't have strong proof of premeditation, although from everything released in the media, it definitely looks premeditated. Maybe rather than charge him with a crime that would be dicey to get a conviction for or to get a jury to sentence him to death, they decided to go with charges that are easier to prove but still would put him away for life. As much as he deserves the death penalty, I'd rather see him sentenced to something less than for him to walk away free like Casey Anthony did because the jury thought the prosecutors over charged the case. LWOP would drive him crazy with no sexting, porn, or whatever else he was into.

What Mammy said. Perhaps they took the DP off the table in order to have a better chance at nailing him with a life sentence. That's what I'm telling myself anyway, so I don't have an aneurysm.

His disgusting wife apparently passed a lie detector test, which doesn't mean much except for bolstering my hunch she's a sociopath too. I want unspeakably horrifying things to happen to both of those fuckers.

He has a wide range of charges that can still put him away for the rest of his life. The jury will have plenty to choose from if they don't think a specific charge has been proven. I'm trying to hold on to that thought. I can't stand the thought of him getting away with this.

Wasn't the polygraph administered by someone who was approved and arranged by her lawyer? He's going to release the information in the way most favorable to her and avoid anything that may have made her look suspicious. It also would make a big difference how the questions were asked to her and how specific her answers would have to be. She was asked "Did you plan or arrange with your husband to leave your son in THAT vehicle?" "Did your husband tell you he was going to leave your son in THAT vehicle?" What a strange way to word those questions. Why not ask "Did you and your husband research hot car deaths on the internet and decide together to leave your son to die in a hot vehicle?" "Did you know before you arrived to pick up Cooper from daycare that he in fact was already dead due to being strapped tightly into his carseat and left there to die in a hot vehicle?" Any polygraph approved and administered by someone the police had chosen would have worded their questions in a much different way, I think. I have no doubt that she would never agree to a polygraph administered by someone approved by the police. She's a fucking cold hearted dumbass, but she has got enough backlash from the public from previous things she has said and done and has finally wised up, lawyered up, and shut up. She knew she would get soft pedaled questions before she ever went in there.

Here's some new info about the Ridgefield, Conn. jerk who left HIS baby in a hot car... Kyle Seitz turned himself in when an arrest warrant for criminally negligent homicide was finally issued by the police. His once-"forgiving" lawyer wife has departed the state with their older daughters without the knowledge of the state-appointed guardian, but efforts to get an order or protection for them was rejected by the judge. The maximum penalty for criminally negligent homicide, even a totally ATROCIOUS one like this, is just a year. And since he's from Richfield, I mean Ridgefield-- okay, I know you're all tired of this pun-- THAT measly stretch of hard time is likely wishful thinking.

A year! That is total BS. I would like to go old west on his ass and tie him to the ground over the biggest fire ant bed I could find. On a hot ass day.

Not defending him, but there was no malice found on his behalf. It was a stupid accident. When I have cold blooded murders getting out in five years I don't need this guy taking up another cell.

For some reason I was thinking of this case today, and decided to look for updates with The Google. I was shocked to discover the trial is actually scheduled to start tomorrow. Not so shocked that there may be a delay, to give the defense more time to prepare.

In Sietz's case, he may do NO time at all...
This case, as much as the Georgia case, still makes me ill. Because there HAD to be more behind it. Just like the Georgia case, Seitz went out for lunch with a baked toddler who had VERY probably messed himself in his agony and did not even SMELL it in a hot car? And those "missed" calls from the day care who were exercising THEIR due diligence because, unlike a PARENT, THEY had liability if something was amiss... The tiniest chance this was an accident, where, a hour in, you realize it's probably too late to fix things and might as well go play it out to the limit, because why deal with a badly-injured, impaired child should he or she survive such an ordeal? If we send drunk drivers who ALSO had no intention of hurting anyone to prison for rather MORE time, then we should do no less to parents who claim to be so "distracted" they allowed their own offspring to endure this awful death.

Apparently he gets no jail time:

    http://www.wfsb.com/story/28758840/r...o-be-sentenced

And yeah, I don't get how he could have driven around mid day with a dead or dying toddler in the car and not know it.

The letter Mrs. Rogers-Seitz's statement to the court before the shamefully-lax sentencing of her jerk husband:

"I ask that you look at my husband sitting before you. I fell in love with this man the first moment I met him, and that is my message today-- one of love, understanding, and compassion."

Excuse me while I barf and barf and barf...

Not. One. Word. About her baby who DIED a HORRIBLE death. Just how much she wants Hubby-wubby back in their comfy new digs in Colorado (legal weed, too! Yays!) Are we sure she hasn't been doing lunch with Madonna Johnson Badger Duke? (another truly awesome mom of dead kids.)

If they can keep the jury pure. There's been at least two potentials who said flat out they believed he was guilty. SMH.

The judge has granted Harris' request for a change of venue.

Maybe he'll die of old age before the trial.

Trial finally getting under way today. I was shocked to find out that Justin Ross Harris and his wife finally divorced. As much as she was standing behind him, I guess the sexual exploitation of underage girls, and NOT killing their young boy was enough to send her over the edge. No way this guy walks.

Too much circumstantial evidence against him for sure. It is amazing to me the kind of trail of evidence that what seem like reasonably intelligent people leave behind.

Yeah, he won't fare well in prison. I can't even imagine him getting women (and young girls, apparently) to even sext him, he's a ruddy looking bastard.

Yeah- but he was probably using a fake picture for the younger ones. If there were any girls his own age- you'd be amazed at how non-picky desperate and lonely people can be.

Yeah, I don't think I could handle all the morbid details, especially if it involves children or animals. I hate that the trial has been delayed due to "inclimate weather".

I'm glad they're sending this low-life away, hopefully forever! I don't think we'll ever figure out why someone who has everything throws it all away. Hopefully he'll kill himself in prison.

Or one of the guys who misses his own kids while he's away will do it for him.

I don't understand killing your own child because you don't want a kid. Give him to someone for fuck's sake. Yeah, some might find that shameful, but is it really more shameful than killing your child? Jesus Christ come on. Fucking moron.
