Good Lord he looks like ass! 34 is awfully young to be dying from alcoholism! Hopefully he can get help from it and recover. In his defense I guess if I were married to Avril Lavigne for any amount of time I'd be drinking too!

he has the same puffy look that I got. (for people new to me, I'm an alcoholic 8 years sober next month)
if I wasn't able to finally accept the help offered me, I'd be dead for sure by now, either by the drink itself or by my hand because I couldn't take it anymore.
I hope he can get better.

Congrats on 8 yrs sober! I've never had the problem, but I have family and friends who have and I know its hard! I see this guy and I hope he doesn't end up like Lisa Robin Kelly. (That 70's Show) She immediately came to mind when I read what he was going through. He's so young, and it's nice to see he care's enough to share it with the world and hopefully he'll be able to beat this.

I've been sober for 12 years, never think about having a drink anymore. But all I have to do is turn around and it's right behind me. That's okay, it reminds me of what a mess I was, and that keeps me moving forward. I hope and pray he can do the same.
