If (and this is why I don't think it's true) she is already buried, then the lawyer is definitely committing (or perpetrating) fraud of some type and I can't imagine that there aren't punishments for that.
I hadn't thought of the fact that putting polish on nails in a hospital would likely not be allowed-I used to trim, file, and buff my dad's towards the end, but he was born in 1927 so polish would NEVER have entered the discussion.
To me, the hands (and nails) in the pictures look like they belong to an older person (i don't know why, but that doesn't look like a kid's hand to me), but also, wouldn't she have lost weight, too? Those hands don't look they have fluid pooled in them, they look like they are attached to a person who is heavy. The feet look like they have edema, but the hands don't. Again, all I have to go on is my experience with my father towards the end (and he wasn't on a vent), but all of his extremities were swollen, not just his feet.
And fish oil in the feeding tube? GAH. I hope mom had to clean up the resultant mess if she tried that.
