    What a great actor....RIP
To my Father. Even though you have crossed the plane, you will always be with me.
You were not just my Father, but my hero. My life has been a poor attempt to be like you
You taught me music, vocals, and how to fight. I can only hope I am half the man you are
When I close my eyes I can see you. And finally, Thank you Dad. for everything.

Awww I liked Dennis Farina. He took over for Robert Stack when they rebooted Unsolved Mysteries for Lifetime and he had some biggggg shoes to fill. Stack was still the best but I do like hearing Farina's voice on there as well. rip!

I have loved him since he was in Crime Story. So sad to hear of his passing. He was a police officer before he was an actor, and he always seemed like a real person.

It appears he died from a blood clot in his lung. Had he been ill?
I mean, they say you die twice.
One time when you stop breathing and a second time, a bit later on, when somebody says your name for the last time.

What the hell? That one was out of left field. Sort of like Gandofini, although Farina is much older.

He did a movie with Bette Midler that I thought was funny as hell. Can't think of the name of it. Was shocked to learn he was a detective before he started acting.

An excellent actor. He always brought a sense of realism to the characters he played. I don't know why but for some reason I think he kept it real in his personal life.

His date of birth has only occured 15 times so far in his life, because February 29th is Leap Day, the well known "extra" day of a Leap Year (containing 366 days), which only occur every four years.
    Born:

February 29, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, USA

    RIP

Wow, this one really came out of nowhere for me...I've only seen a few of his movies, didn't know he was a real cop before he turned to acting.
