I can tell this thread will drive me insane, because of course, as soon as I saw "Midnight Rider" and "Big Country," I had to go listen to them. Otherwise, it's been a late, slow morning:

Eryka Badu -- On and On
    Rush -- Different Strings
Earth, Wind & Fire -- Sun Goddess (Live on "Gratitude" LP)
    Ramsey Lewis -- Les Fleurs
Linkin Park - Somewhere I belong
Van Halen -- Eruption/Running With the Devil
Drowning Pool -- (Let the) Bodies (Hit the Floor)
    Parliament Funkadelic -- Flashlight
James Brown -- Good Foot (Part 1)
    RJ's Latest Arrival -- Shackles
    Kraftwerk -- Tour de France
    George Clinton -- Atomic Dog
ABBA -- "The Visitors" ~Official theme song of the ORIGINAL "Limelight" Club, ATL
    Madeline Kane -- You Can
Rick James -- You and I
Grandmaster Flash -- U Know What Time It Is
    Devo -- Beautiful World
    Kraftwerk -- Numbers (remix)
Afrikka Bambaata -- Soul Sonic Force
Public Enemy -- Fight the Power
Deelight -- Groove is in the Heart
    Blind Melon -- No Rain
    Madonna -- Justify My Love
Busta Rhymes -- Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See
    B-52's -- Love Shack
Madonna -- Has to Be (Very rare track, released only in Japan)

I enjoyed both lists you posted above. Great stuff! And yay for the original Drowning Pool. I saw them at Ozzfest about 3 days before Dave died. I was so bummed. A year later I saw Dimebag Darrell play with Disturbed shortly before he was murdered. I think I need to lay off seeing bands live with D's in their names.

Right now I'm listening to a mixture of tUnE-yArDs, Blind Melon, blink-182 (and their separate projects BCR, AvA, +44), Jay Reatard and some A7X. I'm going to go see A7X again in December and I can't wait =)!

Good Heavens! I can't believe your luck -- and I'm so sorry for the aftermath. But you actually SAW them! That blows my mind! You just keep seeing who you want, Snowblindburd. I was due to see Blind Melon less than a week before Shannon .. well, you know. I just turned around and flew home. But I would never let such things keep me from seeing bands live. I think you're incredibly lucky, and I'm going to remember you a long, long time. Thanks so much for the compliment too (blush). Most peeps think I'm just weird. If they knew my background, they'd understand, but I don't wish to bore anyone with it.

Thanks for the reply =) and the encouragement to see who I feel like seeing =P. I'm glad you've got a broad taste in music. You've reminded me of songs I've forgotten or didn't even know existed. Keep those lists coming!

I wish I could have seen Blind Melon with Shannon --it would have been amazing -- but I still like them with their new singer Travis Warren. I think he is a good fit for the band, and I'm hoping to see them perform soon. Almost did in September but work said otherwise (and I forgot to buy the ticket, doh!).

    Thanks again!

Almost forgot, I'm currently listening to Millencolin - No Cigar.
