    Debralee Scott

Remember Debralee Scott from Match Game!

Kind of sad how she died.

In 2001 her fiancé, Port Authority police officer John Dennis Levi, died during the 9/11 attacks. In March 2005 Scott moved from Brooklyn, New York to Amelia Island, Florida, to be near her ailing elder sister Carol Anne, a producer who worked on many Robert Altman films and who went by the name Scott "Scotty" Bushnell. Her other sister, Jerilynn Scott, is a talent agent in Los Angeles.
Soon after her arrival, she collapsed, and lingered in a coma for several days. She woke up, and when asked if she knew where she was, replied, "obviously in the hospital". Scott was released two days later (on April 2, her birthday) and her spirits remained high for several more days. She went to take a nap, and never woke up on April 5, 2005. Scott died from liver sclerosis.

She was the girl that the serial killer Scorpio buried in Clint Eastwood's film, "Dirty Harry". Her only scene in the movie was when they are removing the character's dead body from the hole he buried her in. She played the dead body. This was her very first film role.

It is strange that so many people choose to be stupid.

I liked her best on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman... That show was so bad it was good... Also liked Fernwood 2night with Martin Mull and Fred Willard...

Louise Lasser was Mary Hartman... She was married to Woody Allen in the 60s and was in some of his early movies...

Married to Woody Allen? Good grief, alcoholic for sure! How else would you cope????? Would take bottles and bottles to erase those memories I'm sure.

    I did not know

she passed away either. Such a shame. I remember her most as the younger sister on "Angie" starring Donna Pescow. Debralee and their Mom, played by Doris Roberts, had the best chemistry

Wow, I didn't know she died either. It says on Wikipedia that she died of natural causes. It doesn't say anything about sclerosis there.

I read somewhere it was Cirrhosis of the liver? Can you only get that by being an alcoholic?? I never heard she hit the bottle??

    Danny,

It is almost exclusivly caused by alcoholism or Hepatitis infections.

Drug intoxication would be another rarer cause, like someone took too many tylenols in an attempt to kill themselves and their liver was damaged.

I just found this on a blog about her:

In response to the cause of death question, it's quite sad really. Apparently after the death of her fiance, she supposedly lost it and began drinking heavily. She moved to Florida and from what I heard she drank herself to death.

    Ah-HA!

If she was not a drinker prior, she must have hit the bottle really hard to die from it 4 years later.

Aside from remembering her from all-things-70s, I recall her in a weird film called Pandemonium. I liked it in a campy kind of fun way but I haven't seen it in forever.

No you can also get it without ever touching a drop of booze. You mainly hear about people who drink dying from it tho.
