    Also known as Pippa Steel

Pippa Steele is the perfect example of a Hammer Starlet: Briefly shooting to a semi-celebrity status via supporting roles in some of their movies, she just as soon vanished from public view.
Born in Flensburg, Germany, her first film was Stranger in the House with James Mason and Geraldine Chaplin. She subsequently appeared in plays in and outside of London. Her biggest part here was possibly in 1966/67 in the title role of Cinderella in a panto alongside Cliff Richard who subsequently also released an album based on this London West End show.
Hammer discovered Pippa Steele via her agent and cast her in the first two parts of their Karnstein Trilogy: For The Vampire Lovers she played Laura; for Lust for a Vampire Susan Pelley. Both times she generously displayed her body in front of the camera.
Following these movies she appeared in a couple more TV parts and commercials. She got married and it appears that at least temporarily she may have been living in the States. Together with her husband she also ran a catering business and a hotel
Pippa Steele died way too young of cancer at the age of just 44.
