Hell, they didn't just stampede the store, they took the freaking doors off first.

I did go to Wal-Mart this morning...We were very peaceable...I got there super early to grab an HP computer...I staked my territory early and stood there about an hour...Myself and everyone around me were all talkative and sayin how CRAZY we were to be there...It was actually kinda fun...This was my first time doing it...Getting outta the store was the trick...People were goin in by the DROVES and a few of us were tryin to get out with our loot...Good luck swimmin upstream there...All said and done we all helped each other load buggys and dollys...I was handin out printers and I took mine off the stack last...I feel so badly for that guy...He did not deserve to die like that...Good greif...

Nobody died but a lot of people were injured when Henrico county pulled the dumbest, full of shit here one year. They decided they were going to sell their used student laptops for dirt cheap... They only had a certain amount of computers and... Hundreds of people came out and they didn't give anyone tickets and when the gates opened...

Weeeeelll, you get the picture... It ended up all over the news. That's freakin horrible for that employee and that poor woman... AND, during the FUCKIN holiday.

BTW, the laptops were pieces of crap.... They were completely stripped and most had to be repaired.

The man who was killed was a temp worker and didn't usually work at Wal-Mart. I guess the metal folded like an accordian.
I saw footage of Wal-Mart where only like 12 products were on sale and hundreds of people showed up. If they had tried to close the doors, the guard on duty would of been bummed rushed.

I used to work at a small shop and Black Friday was awful-many of the people who would show up early were rude and had a sense on entitlement. One guy kicked back in a demo chair, took this pillow(the only one we had) and sat there.
Thing, is he had no intention on buying anything!

That picture is disturbing... I can't believe the barbaric actions of these people. What is our society becoming really a sad thing. Prayers go out to the guys family.

I worked at a department store in a mall in my younger days and the store would look like a tornado had come through the place the next day after a 15 hour sale. Like several others have said... I do my shopping online now.

Why kill a guy in the name of buying for Christmas? That's what gets to me about this.
Somehow, somewhere the true meaning of Christmas has been lost and replaced with the commercialism. If Christmas wasn't as it is today, this wouldn't have happened.
Fuck this consumer commercial Christmas shopping shit. They should just cancel black Fryday period. Really? What's the rush?
It's really pathetic how this holiday has changed.

Merchants are desperate this year too separate us from our money. And people are desperate to get the most they can with as little as they have. It is too bad it had to go tragic. Think of the fender benders in over crowded parking lots as pissed off consumers battle for a parking spot. I really do not like to get out much on this day. Unless its a drive out in the country.

Two Killed Inside Toys-R-Us After Shooting

Two people have died after a shooting inside the Toys-R-Us in Palm Desert Friday morning, Riverside County Sheriff's Department confirmed.
The shooting happened just before 11:30 a.m. at the store located at 72314 Highway 111.
Deputies did not say if the people who died were either the suspected shooters or bystanders.
Several people have been arrested including a teenager who was held inside the store. News Channel 3 cameras captured at least two arrests outside the store including a woman who was heard screaming and banging on a Sheriff's cruiser. No word if a gunman has been captured.
Deputies told News Channel 3 that some shoppers inside were evacuated while others were kept in the store shortly after the shooting as deputies swept the store for suspects.
Authorities are still trying to figure out if a gunman is still on the loose.
Riverside County Sheriff's Department as well as officers from the Cathedral City and Indio police departments are on scene.
The shooting comes on the morning of Black Friday, one of the year's busiest shopping days.

These are the second and third deaths related to Black Fryday.
    WTF is going on here?
For god's sake, stay safe and do your shopping online from your home or office. (This message brought to you by the internet.)

My former co-worker's hubby was a manager at Wal-Mart for many years. One Black Friday several years ago, he was slugged by someone in pursuit of a cheap television. He required hospitalization and continues to work at Wal-Mart to this day. So sad what takes place in pursuit of this stuff. I bet half of the people are attempting to sell it on e-bay.

Fatal Black Friday shooting at Toys R Us in So Cal

I know, I know, there is already another thread on this, but it wouldn't let me post a reply, I tried a couple of times, and for some odd reason it said it was an invalid thread Anywhoooo, mods, feel free to merge or do what you wish with my thread. I just needed to say my peace.

I just heard about this, how very disturbing. This whole black Friday thing is utterly ridiculous. Is it not bad enough that people start fighting over parking spots at this time of year? And to have a fatal shooting at a Toys R Us of all places. What a great influence upon the kids there, parent's shooting each other up probably over some stupid toy. I'm ready to give up on the gift giving part of Christmas, what's the point of fighting the crowds and putting yourself in further debt to buy presents for everyone that you've become acquainted with over time, and going through this crap to buy overindulged spoiled kids crap they don't need. I could rant on forever, believe me.

Yeah and I was the one who started it. For some reason it keeps ending up/getting merged with the one about the man who got trampled to death at Wal-Mart. A totally different incident.
Anyway, here is what I posted.

    LMAO... you too funny Cleanskull!

This is just plain stupid and selfish... What were these idiots thinking when pulling out a gun in Toys R Us? They are lucky they finished each other off and that no kids were killed in the crossfire.

What happened to "Tis the season to be Jolly"?

My dad and I were just talking about this, that's just sick.
What the hell can be so important you need to take down a human being? How can you also not notice you're fucking stepping on someone?
    Poor guy; just horrible.

    Hope the others are alright.

Another reason for me to continue to never be a part of this day.

well it looks like 2 threads got merged again. Today here on the west coast we had a shooting at Toys R Us. But luckily the only ones who died were the 2 shooters themselves. (as reported by cbs)

People are such pigs. The pics were really scary. There is no freaking way I'd be in that crowd. They knew good & well that was a riot waiting to happen. People die at concerts & in clubs all the time from stupid stuff like that. Too many people trying to bottle neck into a tiny doorway.

A pregnant woman had no business in a situation like that. What an idiot. I mean that.

WORD!!! What a horrible, ignominious end for this guy who, if he's like most WalMart employees, worked like a dog for VERY LITTLE RETURN (I used to work there myself...in a deli...the work was long, hard, and physically demanding...Thank God I got an education and could leave that behind...If I had to stay in that job, my spirit would have been broken very quickly).

The Los Angeles Times reported that the shooting, which took place some 120 miles east of Los Angeles, may have stemmed from an argument between two groups of shoppers.
