Looks like he won't have the guts to do that again!!
Wow...that is an amzing video...can't imagine what was going through the people's minds in the vehicle.
The survival of everyone on board depends on just one thing: finding someone on board who can not only fly this plane, but who didn't have fish for dinner.
im thinking its a police chase, maybe drunken driving, i dont know but i think a passenger flew out the car? and got ran over? thats crazy, and very sad.

Looks like Phoenix. The guy with the flags is no longer with us.
Be warned this is not for the weak.
I do wonder about the people commenting though, I can barely read any of it!
Up in smoke. Watch a flagman burned to death! Now That' well done!!!

Guy probably never saw it coming.
did he die though?
I know that the a few years back here at the Melb Grand Prix, there was an accident on the track (I think it was Villnerve) anyway a tire flew off the car and hit one of the marshalls and killed him
Yikes.
ehh, that wasn't THAT bad. i've seen worse.
No deaths at all but the full-version of events is hideous to watch. The driver's name was Tetsuya Ota.

Part 2: just after the crash:

If you find the full 8-9 minute version, you'll see that he sat in the burning car for FAR too freakin' long and it was another driver that saved him. I've never seen such inept track workers. The driver that saved him got so angry at their stupidity and kicked the pace car. Ota has no nose now and wears glasses with a fake nose attached.

That shot is using extreme depth of field, that flag marshal was close to the accident but not close enough to get fried.
Watch the intro to The Graduate, Dustin Hoffman running towards the camera for a few minutes and he seems not to be getting closer.
One of the first tricks you learn in film school.
Nice try though One Hung.

Thanks! I goofed slightly, it's Tetsuya Ota. If you google image his name (in quotation marks) you'll get the helmet and a picture of him. His visor is a melted roll on the bottom of the helmet opening.
I'm a fan of road course racing (i.e., no ovals!) so I watch tons of racing like FI, BTCC, DTM (German Touring Car), Aussie V8s, Champ Car, ALMS, Rolex racing, SCCA Speed World Challenge and RALLY (which they never show in the US ). I'd love to see some Japan Touring Car action.
so what exactly happened can someone let me know? im at work heavily watched and i dont want to wait till im off!
thanks in advance

I'm going from memory here, I haven't rewatched the whole thing:
A racetrack in Japan: The weather conditions are abysmal and the spray is so terrible that you can't see anything. Apparently, the pace car was traveling too slowly so you had cars coming up behind it and flying out of control. You see a Porsche shoot off the track and crash just past the flagman's perch. Another Ferrari flies out of control, hits the Porsche and explodes into a fireball. It rolls across the straightaway and stops. Then, in an incredibly uncomfortable wait, it just sits there and burns like a freakin' blowtorch.
Medics and track workers should've been on the crash immediately but nothing happens until another driver stops and uses his fire extinguisher to try and put out the flames in the cockpit. Finally, some track workers show up, one helps pull Ota out of the car and then the worker wanders away and Ota is just lying there steaming. It is just a total clusterf*ck. The driver who stopped is yelling at everyone and he finally kicks the just-arriving pace car. Ota comes out of it and it's just freakish to watch him. No one is helping him and he sits up on his knees and then just slams backwards into the pavement HARD. His head bounces. He's jerking all over the place. Ew.
Ota sued them for $2.5 million but settled for $800,000.
Oh poor dude!
