I read somewhere and cannot find the link again that the Russian couple are zoo workers, and the mother and rest of the litter died, so they took this cat in when s/he was a kitten (still with eyes closed) and raised it. So it knows those two as mama cat.

That does make total sense and I agree-it is very sweet!
It looks like he thinks the smaller cat is his sibling. He looks very healthy and happy.
Honestly, this to me is better than being in the wild-he gets love,food and will not be poached or just killed.

The zoo workers adopting him actually does make a lot of sense, and they all look like a happy family together, although for the life of me, I can't imagine what's w/the nudie bathtub pictures... (Am I terribly shallow for looking at that picture and thinking "Damn, that's a lousy dye job on her hair!" No, don't answer that... )

Yes, the fish and chicken grossed me out. I wonder what the smaller black cat feels about the large cat being able to hunt inside.
Grossness aside, the big cat appears to be happy and affectionate.
I just wonder why they toss live animals about so it can hunt.

its a Fishing Cat - i saw one at THE ZOO late last year....the sign said they are vicious killers...I can't remember where it was from though. Here's a pic of the one i saw
