I think Courtney Love's portrayal of her was incredible. I can't find many pictures of her out there though? I know she was absolutely gorgeous when he married her, but then after she got addicted, she turned all weird like on the YouTube video for Larry's presidential campaign.
Her story was truely the saddest I have ever read. I am surprised she lasted as long as she did.
I also thought Courtney did a bang up job in that role.
Seeing her in the role of Althea, and how well she did, makes me think how good she could've done Nancy Spungen instead of the bit part she got.

Yes, she tried desperately for it, but if I remember right, they wanted someone with a "name" to play her. Chloe did a great job, especially the annoying voice/fake accent, but I think Courtney could've done her more justice.
I've searched and searched for more pictures of Althea but haven't found but a couple online.
Along with the rest of you, I honestly gave kudos to Courtney over that role. She was fantastic.
As wild and crazy of a relationship as Larry & Althea had, you know they truly loved each other, and I have a deep, heartfelt respect for that.

Hmmmmmm, I remember when she was alive, People did a spread on her and Larry and I thought she was very pretty.....she mentioned that on their wedding night she and Larry had a threesome with another girl (way to set the marital bar!!!)

Yet I believe not only is Flynt from that region but I believe Hustler got its start in Cincinatti.

To see how beautiful and articulate she was in the first 30 seconds then cut to the skinny, lost person in the last 30 really shows how drugs can change everything about you. I would have never recognized her if I wouldn't have know it was about her.

The People Vs. Larry Flynt is one of my favorite movies - loved Althea's character. Such a sad story and she was so beautiful! They were perfect for each other it seemed.
There's a Hustler store right in downtown Cincinnati.
Flynt married once more, to Elizabeth Berrios, but still states to this day that Althea remains the 'love of his lifetime', and that she always would be so. I remember reading a certain article which stated she was a regular at the apartment Motley Crue shared before they became hugely famous. She supposedly did drugs with and often invited the band to the Hustler mansion to party.

Also one of my favourite films- I did get the impression that CL was largely playing herself but then she's such a total drama queen that it was the role of a lifetime for her, authentic or not
