I got really excited the other night when I saw they had all 6 seasons of Emergency!

I can't remember if I brought this up before but a while back they had the description for MASH as being about the Vietnam war. I tweeted Netflix "Uh guys, MASH took place during the Korean War......big difference!" I believe it's been corrected.

Considering that Netflix some months back had removed Jack Webb's other two well known shows ( Dragnet and Adam-12 ) from their service unfortunately I wouldn't get used to seeing Emergency there. I am sure it will be just a matter of time when that show is taken off too.

Yes, like Adam-12 and Dragnet, Emergency has been on for a long time so it won't up long. Not so long ago they had the old Dragnet, made in the 50's, on. It was so good. They took Twilite Zone off about a year ago, but It's up again. Maybe they just switch them around every so often?

Watched an indy film last night called "Miss. Julie." Colin Farrell and Jessica Chastain were in it. About a valet who has an illicit affair with the lady of the house. Good ending for a hag.

They do lately. I can remember when it was just a few new shows around the first of the month and now they pop up at random. There several good movies on my list but I am addicted to Gray's A-when I even have time to watch.

I read an article about a statement the daughter of BTK (Dennis Rader, the BTK killer) made to the public regarding King's "A Good Marriage." It seems Mr. King, when asked, said that the book WAS inspired by Rader. I haven't read it (and didn't know it was a movie) but as I understood it, King certainly didn't have to admit that (I'm not sure if he was asked directly if BTK inspired it, or if he offered the information without being asked.) Apparently, it wasn't "Rader-enough" for it to have been obvious.

I've seen a few movies that have said they were "inspired" by Ed Gein, though none of them is actually his story. I'm guessing someone asked (maybe when King was promoting the book) the inevitable, "Where did you get the idea?"

Anyway, there was a discussion somewhere about BTK's daughter having made her "public statement" regarding King's book. She said she was tired of the her family being in the public eye, and that the person she knew as her father was "nothing like BTK."

I thought it was kind of ridiculous. First off, I wouldn't exactly call her family being "in the public eye." Also, the public she's "tired of" was probably damn tired of someone going around tying people up, then raping and killing them. But her dad didn't give a rat's ass about that, so in my opinion speaking of HIM is fair game. Nobody made a movie about his daughter... I doubt many people even knew he had one; I know I didn't.

That's... yeah. That's like someone getting on a bullhorn and screaming, "THIS PLACE IS TOO NOISY!" Know what I mean? Like maybe the best way to not get attention is to quit calling attention to yourself.

Also, speaking of that tiring public, she (and her mother) should count themselves lucky, in my opinion. They could've EASILY pointed fingers at Rader's wife (and daughter, for that matter) and said, "There is NO way you didn't know." But they never did. The article included (I'm not sure why) several pictures Rader had taken of himself in various stages of bondage and, ah, peculiar dress. Apparently, he very much enjoyed dressing in women's lingerie, tying himself up, and setting his camera to take pictures of it. And I'm sure his "projects" (aka victims) took a lot of time from Rader's non-working life. So yeah, it wouldn't have been unthinkable for anyone to have said, "No way you didn't know SOMEthing... where did you think he was all the time?" You know. Not saying they knew, just saying neither the public (nor LE) ever thought twice about their alleging they had no idea the man they'd lived with for decades was the monster he was. And for that I'm sure she's grateful. The public didn't choose to make BTK famous, that was clearly his doing... right down to getting caught; that was a classic case of wanting to be caught (and he seemed to love the limelight -- God what an understatement!)

Anyway, didn't mean to jack the thread, just wanted to add that about "A Good Marriage."
My son just gave me the password for his dad's (my ex's) Netflix, so I'm going to be a lot less bored for a while!

Also: Okay, I watched the first two episodes of "Orange is the New Black" quite a while back. I thought Season Three was soon to follow, but it wasn't and then I lost my subscription and forgot about it.
So is that what's new (Season Three?) Or is it Four already? If it's Three, I think I'll go over and (watch the entire thing although I'll try to stretch it out.) If I missed two, though... nah! I loved that show, but wow, so long without it and I've kind of forgotten exactly why!
Any know what season it's on now?

(Sorry for the lengthy post.... it's just how I roll; I'm sorry.)

I may have to look into Netflix. That's where "Longmire" went and we like that show. I guess it wasn't trashy enough for A&E network.

I guess it wasn't, or maybe they don't like the decent kind of rip roaring. I also enjoy Hell on Wheels. And I'm picky about what I watch.

I love it too. I don't have a TV so I enjoy it all the more.

Last night I tried to watch Bless the Child. It may be a play on the Billie Holiday song Bless the Child. Anyway, it's about a depressed mother who abandon's her brood. So her daughter (about 13 or 14, I guess) is left in charge of her 4 brothers, one just a toddler. The children are siblings in real life. So, I thought Wow that will be good. Wrong. At least to me and I love dramas like that, but it was boring, so I quit it.

I read somewhere it was fake.

I might have to watch that. It's been three long years since I've seen one real or fake.

Just got a notice they are offering Zombi. I used to be a horror film hag, but no more, no way.

Has anyone seen 17 Miracles? It's about the Mormon venture west. It starts off with a military unit finding the Donner Pass and firing the remains. I've already seen the first miracle scene. It did not really suspend my belief, but whatever. May go back to it and may not.

I might cancel my Netflix after I watch season 3 of OITNB. I am just wasting money right now. I haven't watched it online AND I get disks which I haven't watched in over a month, so I think I might cancel until I'm on break from school. The nice thing is they keep your queue in tact even if you discontinue your service. I had cancelled before for nearly a year and when I restarted they still had my queue waiting for me.

I watched a new documentary called "Winter on Fire" about the revolution in Ukraine that happened right before Russia attacked them. They had freedom and entry into the EU and then Putin killed tens of thousands. I cried the whole time. Highly recommend it.

Has anyone seen Dark Legacy II? It's a docudrama about JFK Jr.'s "murder." It names him as a future POTUS, and the Illuminati wanted him dead, baby, because he wasn't the boob people were led to believe. I could not get past the cartoony pictures of the world government holding photoshoped long guns, so I switched to another movie.

There's also a fairly good bio film about Alexander the Great staring a Brad Pitt lookalike (which is why i watched it.)

    And Manson's Missing victims.

I also caught the documentary Soaked in Bleach about Kurt Kobain's last days. It's steeped in conspiracy theory, of course.

Yep prosthetic. When the movie came out there was an interview with Wahlberg and he talked about it being a little unnerving to sit in the make up chair and have the prosthetic applied.

I haven't been on today Cindy, but yesterday I watched a documentary called "Mala Mala" and didn't have any problems. I recommend the doc though. Its about transsexuals in Puerto Rico. Very well done.

I watch it during meals when Sissy is in bed or not at home. Sometime ago it started freezing on Foxfire every time, so I started watching it on Chrome, with no prob until this week. I did a hardcore cleanup of my disk, but am hesitant to try it again, because the only way I can get it to unfreeze is to turn off my computer and reboot. I'm going to start watching it on my phone.

I'll have to give that docu a whirl.

Until recently I just would not watch a horror movie, but for some reason I've gotten back in the saddle. I watched Private Number last and, believe me, it was worth watching. The last few scenes are stunning.

Agree...it's a prosthetic. Best part of that whole move is when he is shooting his first scene and and he busts a nut for the first time in front of a camera. The director tells him the shot is just fine, but Mark tells him he would like to do it again and that it is no problem getting another erection and coming again on cue. You have to admire that kind of dedication in a porno star. .....what a guy. Most of us would need a 20 minute break, a bottle of orange juice, and some Vitamin E injections.

Boogie Nights is my favorite Paul Thomas Anderson film so I've had it on both DVD and Blu-ray but if you listen to the audio commentary Wahlberg tells a story about the time he broke his dick, it had me hurting.

Fun fact: The reactions during the Drug Deal gone bad scene was actually genuine all the actors were kept up for days and in that environment and the part where the camera is on Mark he was supposed to say his line but he was having a mental breakdown.

Oh and the first episode of Making a Murderer is on youtube

We watched the first episode today, and all I could think about while watching it is "shit, the whole damn country is gonna see this and perpetuate the 'Wisconsin hillbilly' stereotype" lol... We're not all like that, I promise
This was a huge thing around here when it was happening. Nothing ever happens around here and this made national news. I have a friend that lives in the manitowoc area, and her old house was right down the road from the salvage yard where the murder took place. I still drive passed it on the way to the house she lives in now. She went to school with his kids.....

I love House of Cards and the fact that it's directed by my favorite Director David Fincher is even better. I like how Frank Underwood is such a corrupt politician however he brings us along every step of the way and tells us how he works by talking to us the viewer directly.

Both my kids, my niece and my nephew use my Netflix account, but if it was just me, I'd get rid of it. They don't have nearly as many movies as they should and it takes them too long to get the ones they finally do put up.

I don't have a TV so I really appreciate it, but I do wonder why they don't have certain offerings, like The Walton's, ER, Little House on the Prairie. I figure syndication has something to do with it.

Most of the movies I go there to find are only available if I pay for streaming them. Not gonna do that.

I thought about renting the DVD's, but as little as I watch in the first play it just would not be worth the extra money. I watch during meals. If I am extremely bored I'll watch something between.
