I remember watching him on TV as a kid. He had such a good voice and a bit of comedic wit. Was he still married to Edie Gorme? I wonder how she is doing?

Strange that he was just "starring" (if you will) in those peanut commercials lately which kinda has put him in the public eye again...too bad for him.

So at 3 p.m., when my blood sugar gets low, its safe to assume that Robert Goulet will no longer mess up the shit on my desk.

I'll miss the guy...classy old school Hollywood. RIP.

Such a shame he had to wait too long for a transplant.

That's sad, but not surprising. I thought he was cool because he actually didn't take himself seriously. Man, now there's no cool lounge singers anymore.

Did anyone see Robert sing at the NASCAR event at Las Vegas in 2004? It was so tacky but I loved it anyway.

    Robert Goulet

I just heard on the news this morning that Robert Goulet has passed away while waiting for a lung transplant. The news report said that he was hoping for a new lung so he could hit the high notes when he was 100. Was just reading the "sad last days" thread yesterday, and someone had mentioned that he was their pick for who's going next. So sad, always thought that besides a wonderful singing voice, he had a wonderful sense of humor.

I love the Emerald Nuts commercial with Mr. Goulet. Pretty damn funny. Here's the link for it: http://www.wildsound-filmmaking-feed...ommercial.html

I was surprised by his passing, I didn't realize how bad he had gotten.

and he really wasn't a bad looking guy in his later years either. he seemed to have aged nicely. it really is sad. I used to love him on Love Boat as a kid.

Only really knew him from that episode of the Simpsons, where he ends up playing a gig in Bart's treehouse and sings the 'Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, Robin laid a' egg' song. Did he act in one of the Naked Gun films, or am I thinking of somebody else?

Hmm, not sure about Chef Tell being one of the 3. My money is on Mickey Rooney. Heard he wasn't doing so well as of late.
