One of the best hosts + 2 of the best castmembers from the 2 greatest SNL eras = funny movie (but rather underrated).

I love Phil. I watch a lot of Newsradio when I'm bored. Nothing past season four though.

I know what you mean, I bet you couldn't even watch "Bill Moves On" in Season 5, either. Really hard to watch that episode.

You gotta watch him on Saturday Night Live though, he was BRILLIANT!!!

But it is still hard to watch this man and not get teary-eyed.

I WOULD post some pictures of him and the bitch, but I'm not, because I hate looking at her stupid face!

It sucks too, cuz Phil looks great in those pics as well.

Oh god that bill moves on was so sad. I bawled. The whole cast was just a total mess. They did handle it pretty well story wise though. Better than to ignore it.

I've seen a lot of his SNL stuff. I like it.

The show just was NOT the same without him, he had this magnetic presence with all the castmembers, he carried that show like no one's business, and he carried it very well.

I've seen a lot of his SNL stuff. I like it.
I'm VERY fond of his stint on SNL, more than NewsRadio and The Simpsons combined, he just had soooooo many memorable moments on that show, those 8 years he spent on SNL, were just fantastic.

Yes, he was funny in that movie, but he should have been in more scenes.

Watch him on SNL, he is brilliant!

The Simpsons was a great show when he was on it as well, same with NewsRadio.

John Hartmann? Wasn't he in a band called The Doobie Brothers? LOL. He's probably almost 70 now, since he is 10 years older than Phil.

    He sounds just like Phil.
Does he look like him too? I don't think I've ever seen a picture of him.

    ha ha...so somebody SHOOT me!

i guess i believed the info passed on to me, but Elmer "Butch" Hartman is NOT related to Phil, and the guy that does Cosmo's voice isn't even Butch. EVEN THOUGH HE SOUNDS JUST LIKE PHIL!

i am an idiot and am going to go hide...

That's true, according to IMDb, "due to popular belief, Butch Hartman is not related to Phil Hartman."

Even on Family Guy, there's a doctor named "Dr. Hartman" and he's named after Butch, who is Seth MacFarlene's friend.

It's a movie from 1995, Hartman plays a straight-laced family man type, and Sinbad plays a guy that's running away from bad guys, so he poses as Hartman's old buddy who he hasn't seen in 20 years, so yeah...it was an okay movie...

I know, he is one guy that should have stuck around for a longer time...I really hate that he's dead.

If he died in a natural way, I might've gotten over it, but I just can't get over the fact that it's murder.

Still, I hope he's having a party up there, and he's probably sitting back and laughing till his sides split as Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze are doing their Chippendales sketch...and John Belushi is doing his Samurai...and Gilda is doing Rosanne Roseannadanna or something...now I'm getting more sad...

I was thinking about ole Phil today... any word on how his kids are doing these days? I would have had to have choked his wife's corpse for what she did with the kids there. For what she did. Ugh, talk about loathing a person!

I was thinking the same too! I felt so bad for the children when this tragedy took place and still do. Phil was such a one of kind guy.

My mom and me were watching The Simpsons today...and we heard his voice...and...it still hurts.

Then my mom and I started talking about him again and how much we hate *the cunt whose name I'll never say* for killing such a great guy...

I have no idea what his kids are up to, but I hope they both moved out of the bitch's sister's house...HER family took Phil's kids in!

I will forever hate that cunt.

I echo your sentiments Divine. I can't stand to watch E! True Hollywood Story about them without getting real pissed off with that bitch. How selfish that her sister took the kids though. They should of been with Phil's family.

This death still makes me sad...almost 12 years later...and pissed off, because I wanted to strangle that douchetwat myself.

What kind of ticks me off, is when you see the opening credits for SNL with Phil, that nameless bitch is actually in them! Unless they have removed that scene since I saw it last (she is sitting at the table with Phil, you only see the back of her head).

I loved him on Simpsons, but the "Sinatra Group" was one of my favorite SNL skits. He called Sinead O'Connor "Cue ball".

Phil was always the best Bill Clinton ever. The "Cops" spoof where they break up a fight between Bill and Hillary... Hillary of course doing the beating. Phil as Bill: "but I love her." Classic stuff. He certainly left a void.
