    Ok ummm not to drag this on or anything- but its not like he married Louise when she was 16- yea she was about 20- but still. Whats the big deal? People can get closer because of some tragedies. Unfortunaley at the same time it can tear them apart- as it did for Louise and Peter in 02

    I just personally think its a bit tacky to marry your murdered sisters ex lover the man she had hoped to have future with. I mean and the plastic surgery...thats a bit weird. I dont know maybe its just me...but morally I would have had a problem with it had it been my sister. Thats just me though...and just a side note he did dump Louise and is now seeing a 19 year old model.

    I don't think what Louise did was wrong I think what Peter did was wrong he took a confessed girl and tried to make her as close to Dorothy as he could into "Dorothy"

    Louise finally said to hell with this! But I don't fault either of them who am I to condemn someone I just think Peter tried to turn her into a Dorothy look-a-like...

    Dorothy is my next tattoo...I have an Elvis and Patsy Cline tattoo.... this is the tatto I'm going to get

    I think Louise was probably pretty vulnerable at that age and Bogdanovich took advantage of it. He's a real weirdo.

    This is what she looked like before Peter got a hold of her. She did favor Dorothy a little but not much as they had different dads

    I so love Blue Oyster Cult they are wicked. I think that don't fear the reaper fits Dorothy. I think in away she knew she wouldn't live long. Like Ronnie VanZant (Lynyrd Skynyrd) he said he would die at 28 and that he would die with his boots on and he did!!!!!!

    I totally agree with everybody else I can still remember
    where I was when I heard the news.
    Hope one day her sister writes a book about her story since
    Peter Bogdanovich and others have wrote one.

    I was watching a James Bond movie the other day, Octopussy, filmed in 1983, when I noticed something intersting. The opening sequance to the film has a model that looks a lot like Dorothy Stratten, doing poses that she had done in some of her still photographs. I wonder if this was just by chance. Here is the link on you tube, what do you think?

    Bottom line, if you leave someone like him, don't go back, never be alone with him/her again. It haunts me that she went into that apartment with him; had she not, she might still be alive.

    Watched Star 80 for the first time yesterday, Eric Roberts plays creepy guy very well (looks alot like his little sister).

    Such a sad story, towards the end I found when he threw the keys at her and told her to get out, then he went into the bedroom, I was wishing her to get out until she heard the gun click! When she slowly turned around I was like no, no go back to the door.

    I can't understand why people blame Hef, from the film it looked like he hated Paul and tried to get this through to her in other ways rather than just saying 'Pauls a dickhead, get rid'

    I understand the film is not totally accurate so if anyone can help me understand abit more would appreciate it

    Strange, has anyone been keeping up with the murder of model Jasmine Fiore by her estrange husband Rayan Jenkins? It is almost the same story of what happend to Dorothy Stratten. Even the part about him heading back to Canada to evade the police.

    To my recollection Paul never wasn't to go by to CA...Ca was where he wanted to make it big and when he could he took his "Prize Possession...He had a plan and he that was the end....If he couldn't have Dorothy than no one would
    Look what he did to her...and by picture is not her it was a Hustler mag

    Jasmine Fiore and Ryan Jenkins also had a quicky wedding in Las Vagas, much like Dorothy Stratten and Paul Sinder. I just found it very similar the way things turned out.
    Another intresting side note, the day after the story broke about Jasmine Fiore, the Biography Channel plays "The Dorothy Stratten Story". Her movies or appreances have not been on televison in years.....strange man, just strange.

    check this oddity about dorothy:
    Dorothy Enigmas

    These are odd things that I have noticed about her life. They may mean nothing but I present them here for your evaluation.

    Dorothy = means, "Gift of God"

    Born = February 28, 1960

    Ruth = means, "Companion"

    Died = August 14, 1980

    Hoogstraten = means, "High street"

    The day of her birth, the 28th, contains her birth and death. She was born in the 2nd month and died in the 8th month.

    The day of her birth, the 28th, divided by her birth month, the 2nd, gives her death day, the 14th.

    She was the August playmate and died in August.

    The last movie she made, "They All Laughed" contains 14 letters. Her last day was the 14th.

    The day of her birth, the 28th, seems to contain her death age, century and decade. Age 20, century 20, decade 8.

    Dorothy did not appear to have pierced ears or wear earrings. Very unique among women. Very refreshing.

    Dorothy was left handed. Some of the most talented and interesting people are left handed.

    Dorothy's grave stone has a quote from Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms" and Hemingway's granddaughter Mariel played Dorothy in Star 80.
    The two actresses who each played Dorothy in a movie, Jamie Lee Curtis and Mariel Hemmingway were both born on November 22!

    The three most important influences in the last two years of Dorothy's life started with the letter "P" Playboy, Paul, Peter.

    Peter Bogdanovich and Playboy have the same abbreviation P. B.
    The address of the apartment where Dorothy was killed is 10881.
    Using only these numbers and/or simple addition and subtraction many important dates of her life can be obtained. Let me know if you come up with some more examples.

    10881

    1+1=2, the month she was born.

    1+1=2 then attach an 8 for 28, the day she was born.

    1+8=9 then put a 1 one on front for 19 then 8-1-1=6 then place a 0 for 60 then put them all together for 1960, the year she was born.

    8= the month she died in.

    8+8-1-1=14, the day she died.

    1+8=9 then put a 1 one on front for 19 then place the 8 and 0 for 1980, the year of her death.

    1+1=2 then place the 0 for 20, her age at death.

    8+8-1=15, the number of letters in her name.

    Barry Miller noted these oddities

    "Many of Dorothy's favorite books and movies as well as movies she appeared in were strange omens of her fate."

    Love Story - early grave,beautiful female.
    A Star is Born - showbiz suicide,beautiful female.
    Lord of the Flies - cruelty and death to little blond angelic boy.
    Valley of The Dolls - self-destructive beautiful females, one with psychopathic husband.
    Midnight Express -torture and imprisonment.
    Galaxina - emotional imprisonment.
    Autumn Born -torture and imprisonment.

    Strange, just plain werid. Jamine Fiore was also a former Playboy centerfold. The guy who killed her, Ryan Jenkins, mutilated her body after death. Stratton also suffered the same fate after her death. Jenkins is thought to have fled to the Vancover BC area, which is where Paul Snider was from...I wonder, will Ryan Jenkins also commit suicide before being brough to justice by the authorities?

    August 14!!!

    One more strange fact, if the news reports are correct, she was killed on Augest 14, which is the same day as Dorothy Stratten. The murder was also commited in L.A., the same place as Stratten. Maybe I'm reading too much into the story, but it seems my facts are correct. Am I wrong?

    Well, this is the last thing, not only did they die in L.A., but a certain section of L.A., West Hollywood!

    I find it a real shame that she didnt have the sense to realize what a dangerous putz he was. From a couple of interviews I've seen, she didnt seem like the sharpest tack in the pack. No offense meant, as i also realize she had a very sympathetic nature.

    Well...she was only 20. I did a LOT of dumb things at that age that very likely could've gotten me killed as well. I think we all did! The only thing she was guilty of is letting guilt override common sense. She felt like she owned Paul an explanation as to why she was divorcing him when in reality she didn't owe him a thing. He may have gotten her on the road to Playboy, but she didn't owe her success to him.

    Honestly, I don't think it would've mattered had she not gone to see him that day. I think he would've killed her at some point anyway unless she lived under armed guard 24/7. I don't think he killed her because he loved her too much. I think he loved what she represented and what she could did for him. Without her, he was nothing and he knew that. That obsessive love crap is rarely ever about love of the actual person. If that had been the case, the douche would've just offed himself.

    Hi there, a few points of clarification.

    Actually, the apartment where Dorothy was killed was on Clarkson in West LA, which is a good 8 miles from West Hollywood. And news reports so far have Jasmine probably murdered in the San Diego community of Del Mar, which is over 100 miles south... her body was dumped in Buena Park which is near Anaheim, about 30 miles south of West Hollywood. It's just off the 5 Freeway which is the main highway that goes from San Diego to LA. So, no real similarities in the murder location department.

    Also, Jasmine was not a Playboy centerfold. "Playboy models" is a division of the company that provies swimsuit girls for promotions, tradeshows, etc. She was an events coordinator for the "Girls of Golf" promotion.

    Here is a new update for you. Ryan Jenkins, estrange husband of his murder victim, Jasmine Fiore, was found this afternoon, dead in a motel room just outside of Vancouver BC. Cause of death thought to be a single self inflicted gun shot wound to the head. ---Strange man, just strange.

    According to TMZ, Ryan Jenkins hanged himself. I don't really see a ton of coincidences between the two cases. Murder/suicides happen quite a bit unfortunately.

    Peter paid for ALOT of plastic surgery so she would favour Dorothy...Peter modeled Louis to look like Dorothy
