    RIP, Frank.
I grew up watching Bozo the Clown.

Sounds like he was a very decent guy.
Not like that other clown guy, Gacy.

When I lived in Chicago we took the train in to see the show. RIP.

It was a surprisingly cerebral show, being that it was hosted by a clown.
Dealt mostly with matters of existential philosophy.

Mr. Avruch was obviously heavily influenced by the likes of Kierkegarrd and Sartre, and that guy who could twist and tie balloons into shapes like weiner dogs or octopuses.
But I've always said that if you want serious existential philosophy that a TV clown just isn't the right source.

For that, you've got to turn to rodeo clowns.
