Here's a link about it. Not much information. She has so many mental issues. I hope she is OK and can get some help. I wonder how close she was to Prince. She owes pretty much her whole career to him.

By the way, did anyone get any of the Prince tribute magazines? I wanted to but now the only one I can find is Entertainment Weekly, which says it's a special tribute issue, but it's more like it has a tribute story in it. I want one like I got for Bowie where the whole thing was about him and his career, with lots of pictures and stuff.

I see they found Sinead O'Connor safe. No other information was available. Hmm.

I mean no disrespect, I have been watching the Kiss video lately, and wondering what the beginning reminds me of, and then I realized it's The Great Pumpkin! Love Prince!

I guess this is why the DNA was ordered to be taken. Prince's sister did not list their half brother in whatever estate papers she's filled out. He's dead now, but has a daughter and granddaughter (and a son who is also dead now) but it looks like there are questions about whether or not they are actually related to Prince, even though the dead half brother was named after their father and acknowledged by him, sounds like he might not have really been his son, so not genetically related to Prince, so the kids won't be either, obviously.

So many dead people in his family. It's not like he was a 90 year old man, he was 57. Almost all siblings, nieces and nephews, his child, him, all dead. I can at least understand testing these people since there is a possibility. It says Prince had a falling out with this brother, but he was his head of security before that. As for the 700 other people claiming they are related, they should make them pay for their own DNA tests, I bet the line would get a lot shorter.

haha damn!! I love that song. Since he's died I realize he's really had a ton of songs I like, but I'd never have included him in a "favorites" list. But I actually like more songs of his than some people I do call favorites.

Prince had epilepsy when he was young. Could this have contributed to his demise? Was he on anti seizure meds?

It's possible. According what I've recently read--grain of salt--Bruce Lee had juvenile epilepsy, which might have caused the brain edema in May and then killed him in July 1973.

I saw this line in that article. If she's telling the truth, that would explain a lot. Those places were no joke. Horrible horrible places. As bad or worse as the work houses.

I'm still leaning towards the fact he had AIDS or some other terminal illness. Sheila E seemed to "know" what happened but won't say, and the family seemed well prepared for a service at a moment's notice and had all those gift boxes for the fans to give out within 24 hours of his death. Something is up and while they maybe be keeping it all hush-hush for now, I have the feeling there IS more than just a drug OD involved here and we'll find out the REAL story eventually. JMO

He had scars on his left hip and lower right leg which may indicate hip/knee replacement. No other significant conditions were indicated. Would be nice to see the complete autopsy. He wore boxers.

What I don't understand is that I know they said he died of an opiate overdose. 1 Source says he died from fentinol (sorry if i destroyed spelling). The other one says the opiates he o.d'd on were Percosets. Do you think we'll ever really find out?

He must have been in a lot of pain to have overdosed on this stuff. Wonder if he got it from a doctor or had someone get it for him. This article tells what it can do, scary. https://www.drugabuse.gov/drugs-abuse/fentanyl

Fentanyl is no joke. I'm wondering why he was on it. Docs don't normally use Fentanyl for chronic pain. The Percocets he was on is what they normally prescribe or Lortab. I also want to know why they won't release the full autopsy. I want to know what's going on.

Since I first refused to try OxyContin for my chronic pain, I was given Fentanyl patches. They would not stay on my skin and I would wake up and find them in my bed, so they didn't work for me at all. I took the box back and gave it to the pharmacist because I didn't want them in my house as I had high school aged kids at the time. I was always afraid of OxyContin because of all I read about it, but they really did turn out to be good for me. ZERO buzz, no drowsiness and effective relief.

This reminds me of a night not long after I had a heart attack. I could not sleep, and mind I wasn't in any pain. A nurse gave me something, but it did not work, so a couple or so house later he gave me something else, and I got all fuzzy-cozy and fell off to sleep. The next morning I got up for some reason or other and there was a Fentanyl wrapper underneath me. Dig that.

I remarked on another forum when I heard that he was found in the elevator, if he had even ever made it upstairs when he was dropped off the night before. Or did he realize at some point during the night he was in a critical situation and try to get help before being overwhelmed?

My question is, if he had something like AIDS or any other progressive, terminal illness, then why the call for an addiction specialist? As many terminal illnesses, things become more painful as the disease progresses. Wouldn't they keep him on strong medications longer to increase his quality of life?

Well, maybe not, Avi. I've heard of terminal cancer victims in torment whose doctor refused to up their pain med because it's habit forming.

Well, if you person I'd dying, then why worry about addiction if it gives them a few more qua!ity months? That's the philosophy behind hospice care. However, he may have been taking more than recommended. Still, why make a person go through withdrawals if they're dying already...

AIDS would be a secondary listing. Like say when some has AIDS and they died of pneumocystis pneumonia; they put pneumonia as the primary cause of death and AIDS as secondary. What caused immediate death is the pneumonia but what caused that was the AIDS. It's like that. In this case, if Prince had AIDS, it may not be listed as a cause of death at all because it's not what immediately caused his death. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure. I know we have a couple of people that work in a related field that would know for certain.

It's not a long term painkiller. It's for like after surgery or even cancer patients. I'm interested in the outcome. Someone was getting it for him or his doc was prescribing it and he probably shouldn't have been.

Fentanyl definitely is used as a long term pain killer, especially when something like Percocet is no longer working. The patches are often used as a primary, around the clock pain reliever, and the lollipops are often used as secondary, breakthrough pain medication.

I'm a pain management patient and have had both... fortunately, after undergoing some outpatient procedures and physical therapy, I now able to function on a less strong medication.

Like I said in an earlier post, I was given the patch by my pain management doctor but it wouldn't stay on. I would wake up and find it stuck to my blanket or sheet. I've been taking a combo of Percocet and OxyContin and it works for me.

I was given fent patches by my doctor when percocet wasn't controlling my pain. She gave me the lowest dose patches they make. I had to take it off, I have never been so dizzy and sick from a mediation in my life. I took that patch off and put it back in with the others and brought them all to my doctor too. I couldn't handle it at all.

They did seem to have those boxes ready for the fans pretty quickly. I wonder if he did have something else. But if he was terminal why the addiction doctor. I'm another one who doesn't understand taking terminal people off pain meds because of addiction, if they are close to dying anyway. If it makes them feel better, who cares. Any Nurse Jackie fans out there? There was an episode that kind of dealt with this, but it was a dying man who was sober and refused anything, and Thor gave him morphine anyway. It was a touching episode.

Just read through one of the links... I have 7" and about 50 pounds on Prince and that low dose fent patch kicked my ass. Makes me wonder if it was prescribed to him or if he bought it illegally.

He was using shooting up a brand of Heroine called Ace of spades. It's heroin cut in with fentanyl.

    Prince is not the Father!!

DNA test proves Colorado inmate and hopeful hip hop artist Carlin Q. Williams aka Prince Dracula is not Prince's biological son.

"Williams' mother, Marsha Henson, said she didn't believe that the DNA results show their claim is false. Sitting in a lawn chair in her Kansas City backyard, she told the AP she was unaware of the results.

"I don't believe that. I think they're positive," she said before ending the conversation and referring additional questions to their attorney. She declined repeated requests to elaborate."

That stuff is no joke. I had a procedure done in which the doctor said I would awaken to "mild" cramping. When I woke up, I'd have sworn I'd just given birth. The nurse trotted off to give me a shot of fentanyl. That pain was gone on seconds.
