Your right it's cheesy but I loved it ! I hope in the second season they use more of Cyrus daughters, they were one of the best things about the show. I have to admit I bought Season 1 for the extras.

this is an interesting watch
Just saw this on Pinterest and it make me laugh.
LOL. I watched it for Tom Austen (Jasper), Princess Eleanor's bodyguard !

Queen Elizabeth II went into a grocery store in Poundbury today.

Hi, Drew, anything about the British Royal Family goes in this thread.
Your link is broken.
If the question is: Is this Prince Philip, the answer is Yes.
If the question is: Is he dead, then the answer is No--according to Buckingham Palace. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/news...ectid=11850144
Apparently something's a foot. I wonder if the Queen is preparing to hand over the kingdom to Charles. http://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/th...-a3530036.html
Saw on a news ticker at the gym a little while ago that Phillip will be "stepping down from his royal duties" starting in the Autumn of this year.
Dang - the guy is something like 95 years old - I wonder if he's looking forward to a long retirement.

He and Liz are well up there, so if handing over the throne is true, I wouldn't be surprised.
Bravo for him, sez I. I remember back in 1969 when members of the Royal Family were visiting and we were living in New Zealand. They did their rounds at a huge sports field where all the school kids had gathered, and he said a few kind words to me.
And no, the Queen will die, and then Charles will step up.
Everyone must die but not everyone has lived
I think the Queen will continue on. When it comes time for Charles to take over, his best bet is to hand it to William & Kate.

The British royals don't "hand over the crown" like some of their royal cousins. During the coronation, they are anointed with holy oil and pledge their lives to service to the crown as long as they live. One obvious exception was Edward VIII, who abdicated before he was crowned to marry "the woman I love,"
Everyone must die but not everyone has lived
The Queen will never step down until she drops IMO , Charlie isn't well liked and most people would prefer William to take over .
A few years ago there was interest about that exact thing in the papers. Several people high up in the royal circle were interviewed and they were of the opinion that the queen and Phillip wants William to take over and did even before Kate came into the picture. She thinks he and the younger members of the family - Harry, Zara etc would be able to turn things around and reinvent the monarchy. The problem with Charles is as far as many are concerned, while they tolerate him, what happened with Diana will forever tarnish him and she doesn't think he has what it takes to step into her shoes.
As far as Charles is concerned though, the crown is his and he won't give it up for anything even if the alternative is a better choice. He's spent years waiting in the shadows and the only thing stopping him will be if he drops dead.
What is gonna be funny is what happens with Camilla when all this happens. For quite a few people, she is still the whore from hell who made Diana's life a misery and they refuse to accept that she is gonna take what was rightfully Diana's place especially since she stole it from her.
Charles will make Camilla his queen consort.
Everyone must die but not everyone has lived
I've noticed the subject has been brought up a lot this last week. Along with all the promo about the TV show King Charles III airing and the news about Harry getting counselling after Diana died, it's brought all the badness back up again. For a while it did look like people were starting to thaw against her but from what's been said on media and in the papers the last few days, it looks like nothing's changed. I remember back when they married and the subject of what she would be called came up. They knew there would be an uproar if she was called Princess and that's why they settled on Duchess. I think they'll try to do the same when...or rather if, Charles is crowned because while the queen doesn't look too fit, Charles isn't looking his best either.
First off, I must mention my adventure finding this thread, not remembering the correct name. I type in "The Royals." First thing to pop up is "Dead Porn Stars." I saw the Ceremony for the Knighting of Ringo Starr. Prince William will make a great King.

In other chucks and giggles: It seems Prince Charles is jealous of the attention William and Kate are garnering. I can only image how he feels about Harry and whatshername.
I love me some Wills and Kate and Harry, but I'm getting a bit sick seeing their faces splashed all over the place.
Be grateful you don't stay in the UK then as it's even worse here. Every day there is multiple stories about them in the papers and the news as well as programs about them and it will be get even worse until the wedding takes place. There was even a april fools today about Harry and Megan needing a dog sitter and people believed it.
At that age, you get a bit of a Hall Pass. Don't think he will be around much longer, dropping zingers.

I had not heard that. At his age, any form of cancer is bad news.

Not necessarily .My auntie who is now 93 has had bowel and bladder cancer since she was 82.The doctors have told us she could last another 5 years , as cancer in the elderly is so slow moving ,it doesn't ravage the body as in a younger person. She also has excellent kidneys , her heart is strong and the doctor says it may not be cancer that carries her off !!
My dad has had prostate cancer for almost 8 years now, still going strong at 95. He says it's the least of his worries, he's more pissed off that he had to quit driving a few months ago !

Dear Harry...Prince Harry..
I'm starting to feel bad for you..
I get you love her and want to settle down...but the amount of drama that is coming from your potential in laws...are you sure you want to marry into this?
You still have time to runnnnnnn away....your 6th in line..it's not a state wedding son. I know you love her and think she's pretty....but dude..her family....
Pleaseeeee think about your options..she's not the only fish in the pond...no I'm not wanting you ( I like my privacy) but her family is reminding that if I ever tie the knot, that I'm eloping!!!!!!!!
So someone from a dysfunctional family wants to
marry a person that are the worst dysfunctional family
in the UK.
So please get up early on a Saturday morning to watch
this dog and pony show.
Carolyn(1958-2009) always in my heart.
Hey I think I will watch the wedding, haven't seen anything to deem them dysfunctional, they are better than what's his name that we have in office
I hope they'll be happy together.
They maybe should have just eloped; gotten one of those quickie deals in Vegas and avoided all this scrutiny.
And hey, it's Vegas - people there probably wouldn't have even thought twice about a Royal Carriage pulling up in front of Crazy Eddie's Express Betrothals and Poker Room.
They could have saved some serious cash too and put it toward typical newly-wed type stuff like an iron and cookware and estates and servants and the like.

The Queen looked bored, as I would be. Nothing special about the dress the bride wore. Worst dressed, almost everyone there. Best dressed, as always Amal Clooney. Victoria Beckham always looks like she's at a funeral, her no smiling act is as old and tired as she is. Elton John needs a new wig, the pixie cut bunny brown color isn't working.
Today you could be standing next to someone who is trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness.
The Queen hardly ever smiles, probably plotting an 'accident' for the new bride. You would think for such a happy occasion she could crack her face a few times and smile, lol
I thought the little kids in the procession were cute. I thought Megan's Mother just did not show any emotion. I think she was the only one from the family that attended. Just kind of made me feel bad for her. I really liked the 19 year old cellist that performed at the end....he was great. Oh and loved some of the expressions from those in attendance when the Bishop spoke.
Yeah I saw the smile smile and had a proud look on her face and she was crying a bit. Her eyes got very wet and she blinked back tears. As for the wedding dress I thought it was classic and tasteful.
I don't get the fascination with "royalty" in 2018. The whole concept is an anachronism. They're just people, a little more inbred than most of us, perhaps, but people nonetheless.
Sincerely yours,
Upset
Inbred, Haven't seen where they married family members.
