Thread: Commercials We Hate

What, you guys don't have in-depth conversations with your pals about your delicious orgasm inducing creamy yogurts? (By the way, I've had a few, and they aint so hot.)

You are supposed to drink one yogurt for immunity and eat one to be regular.
While it is true different strains in yogurt help different thing,I am not sure I want it in in every food possible.
Did you know there is now bottled water with fiber in it? Can't wait for those ads.

This thread is too funny! I hate Carl's Jr. and the Burger King guy ads too. Years ago I work for a doctor and we would get all kinds of advertising from drug companies. The one I remember all these years later is for a laxative with an older woman named Minnie. Everything from coffee cups to hats and note pads was plastered with "Minnie takes a Doxidan in the p.m. for a bm in the a.m." Still grosses me out.

LMAO!!! I thought the same thing! And the one where the big pussy is sitting there crying eating a jalepeno chicken burger while the girlfriend rants about him watching the game while her parents are in town. Apparently he doesn't have a pair

I remember when toilet paper commercials didn't dare talk about what people actually did with it! Now we have those Charmin bears doing the cha cha- and every time I see it I think about a bear going ---- in the woods!

Also I really hate the Mucinex commercials. Who thought that an animated booger guy would make people want to buy their product?

  11. #161
My mother gets completely grossed out by the commercials with the little fungus guy that lives under your toenails. Can't say I blame her.

The latest charmin one had the bear walking around with TP bits stuck to its ass!

And you're right the mucinex one is right on! Don't eat anything when that shit cme son the TV

Ok so I think the basic conclusion we have come to, is these ads gross us out and are unnecessary, if we have booger monsters we will find a product, if we have bits of TP stuck to our bums we will shower or seek out a better brand of TP. If we are leaking we will find the product on our own, if we are stopped up we will find a product to get things moving again. Basically we are adults if we have issues, we'll find a solution, and I believe we can navigate our way around the drugstore. So to the commercial companies: please please get rid of your stupid commercials, go back to best of the love songs of the 70's-I love those commercials!

I hate commercials with little brat children. That milkshake one especially!!! That Burger King one with the apple fries too. "eat the apple." "No." Yeah if I had kids I'd let them say that to me. You eat the apple or you don't get anything for the rest of the night.

No wonder kids are little friggen terrors.

No kidding. I still believe in old fashioned corporal punishment and I don't care who disagrees with it. My kids don't DARE mouth off to me. And now these commercials/TV shows depicting kids doing just that teaches them that it's OK to be shits to your parents.

That's a big reason my daughter doesn't watch commercial tv, just PBS and dvd/videos for her. She's a holy terror on her own without any outside influence.

As for that Burger King king, eeeek, if I saw that guy looking in my bedroom window offering me a breakfast sandwich, I think I'd fall over dead of fright right then and there. I forgot about the mucinex snot monster, and the fungal tonail invader. EWWWWW!!! The fungal toenail think really makes my stomach twist.

I have yet to be treated to the 'Viva Viagra' commercial... I hate it already. I hated the "Big Bob and his happy wife" male enhancement commercials with a passion!

I hate the Burger King 'KING' and his big plastic head. I hate fast food that is either running for its life, or begging you to eat it. I hate the way food, like M&Ms, Hot Dogs, and cookies have eyeballs.

This is a little off the beaten path, but I have a cousin who is in her early 60s. I love her dearly, but she isn't the sharpest pencil in the box at times. About 10-15 years ago, she called and had a question. *I am not making this up, she actually said the following:*
"My doctor told me to use yogurt for this yeast infection I have. Do you think it matters what flavor the yogurt is?" After I nearly bit my tongue off trying hard not to laugh until I wet myself, I told her that plain yogurt be the best thing to use.

The cartoon person needs to see the Burger King guy, the Mucinex Guy and then he or she needs to watch the bears dancing in the Charmin commercial. If that doesn't unblock those pipes, nothin' will.

I agree with all the gross commericals - some of them are so horrible it is embarrassing. One commerical I find extremely annoying though is the Alltel commercials, especially the ones with that obnoxious wizard. And the one with the "family time" dinner and the doorbell rings is so frustrating to me because their doorbell and my doorbell sound exactly alike and my dogs go crazy barking at the door. I can't wait until their ads are pulled.

The Yoplait commercials endlessly piss me off.

Seriously..."NOT catching the bouquet good!"?!? Fine, then don't get up off your superior little perch and participate in the bouquet toss! You don't live in some third world country where they're going to force you to marry the guy who catches the garter....die bitter and alone, see if I care!!! UGH!

Also, any commercial where they make the husband look like a tool. My least favorite lately is for the Thomas's Wheat English Muffins, where the dad is eating the muffin, asking his son, "Is it still a whole wheat muffin?" or something stupid like that, then the kid says, "No, it was Mom's breakfast!" and the guy looks like he's going to shit a brick, as if they don't have a whole package of the damn things sitting there, and he has no clue how to work the toaster.

LOL, the head on commercials now have a disclaimer before they play, something to the effect of warning, the following commercial contains repetitive words, so if you can handle, don't watch it - sorry, bad paraphrasing, but thats the gist of it.

Do you remember when McDonald's was introducing a new burger-it was called DLT (I think) and they ran a bunch of "negative" commercials. They went something like "this burger is too good for your kids" And not only did people not order the burger, business in general fell off. They had to yank the ads because it was a disaster.

Same thing happened when Chrysler was running the commercials with Doctor Z. I don't understand that one because I go for the brainy Germanic type---but Chrysler sales dropped when the commercials ran!

I miss the Taco Bell Chihuahua. I thought the little guy was just adorable. Bet their sales haven't been the same since!

Okay, how about the Gas-X strips commercials? The ones where they use all the euphamisms about passing gas. There's two of them. One is a board meeting and one is a job interview. These are soooo offensive to me.
Also, has anybody listened to one of those pregnancy test commercials? There's one where the commercial's announcer goes "the most advanced technology available, for you to pee on." I had to pay attention to that commercial 3 times, because I asked myself "did I just hear what I thought I heard?"
Now, I've seen a new one, on the WE Channel. I think it's for Huggies diapers. A father is trying to catch a boy baby's stream of pee, that is going all over the bedroom, by moving around a diaper. You've got to be kidding me!
"So many faces in and out of my life. Some will last, some will just be now and then. Life is a series of Hellos and Goodbyes, I'm afraid it's time for Goodbye again. "

I can't stand that Burger King commercial where the BK executive asks Diddy how to get people to know that BK is now open late and Diddy says, "Tell them Diddy says it's open late". Suddenly there's a rush to get to a Burger King restaurant. Yeah, right, Diddy's the first choice to get business advice from. Stupid commercial...

There's one I really hate, but I can't remember the name. It's some kind of salt or salty spice set to fast music and a series of people are like shaking the thing back and forth like salting the hell out of their food but doing it really fast to the beat of the music and all look excited. Who gets excited salting food? The one kid, this dark haired boy about 10, he's shaking the thing like crazy with saucer eyes, he looks like he's been on a multi-day coke and upper binge with no sleep, it's scary.

And I hate the bathroom cleaner ads where the woman is bitching about cleaning her bathroom--meanwhile, the bathroom is like 50' by 50', I'm like, lady, if you can afford a bathroom that huge, you can get a maid to hand-scrub it and not be worrying about cleaning it yourself. And outside the Hearst castle, does anyone really have 250 square foot bathrooms??

I wrote to Wendy's last night about their ad-I think it is about salad.
It is along the lines of "If this is good and we add this, doesn't it make it 'good good?'
NO-it makes it 'even better' or something along those lines.
It is not cute,it just sounds uneducated and they should be ashamed of being lazy enough to greenlight this ad.
I mean,if this is approved why not:
    'Milk,it does you good'
    or
"There ain't no bad stuff in this dish'

I say do away with ALL commercials. Put all advertisements on billboards, floating billboards, the moon, shit floating in outerspace, you name it. Hell, every idiot in Miami has their "car wrapped" in a damn advertisement for some porn site, web site, rap album, energy drink...Might as well go the whole 9 yards with the thing!

I lust for global "clutter" for some reason...
