Awesome pic Scott!!!!
Thanks for the photo, Scott! Another one for your collection. Funny, I assumed Marvin's bedroom was bigger, seems kind of small.
I remember when I was a kid (back in the 70's) how the TV stations would go off the air late at night and then come back on at a certain time in the morning. I used to watch KTVU (channel 2) in the Bay Area, and every morning when the station came back on the air, they'd play, "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye and show this collage of pictures of the Bay Area. Anyone else from the Bay Area remember that?
I don't remember KTVU playing that but I do remember staying home sick from school watching "Dialing For Dollars". Great times!
Hey Scott, very cool video on Marvin you posted on FAD, it sounds like you say "1994" for the year Marvin died.
You know Demgirl I always thought that also. Marvin was a tall man so I always figured his room would have been bigger. Seems smaller in the pic Scott posted then I would figure.
27 years ago today...RIP
I keep his greatest hits CD in the car and it is some of my favorite driving music.
RIP Marvin!

My all-time favorite singer. RIP Marvin. You are missed. Thanks for the songs you left us
A friend of mine used to provide security for Marvin Gaye. He said Marvin was a very nice and respectable guy when he wasn't using drugs, but once he started using, he was extremely difficult to get along with. He said Marvin would become enraged over minor things and Marvin would become abusive and liked to argue with anyone, over anything.
Today would have been his 72nd birthday.
28 years ago today. Altho I wonder if his dad had never shot him if he would have lived much longer anyway with all the cocaine he was doing...
I love "Sexual healing". It´s one of my favourite songs... Marvin had one of the most voices in music history...
When God goes to bed every night, he prays to CM Punk.
Yeah the room seems small. I read that the day he was shot, he had been on a days long cocaine binge, was acting erratically and basically was watching various porno movies in a marathon while singing and listening to music. The room seems like an old grandmothers.
I remember the stories that came out after his death, but I also heard others that came out later that are contrary. The truth died with the three members that were in the home...but little sister is still with us and she is talking. Perhaps the following links will be of interest to fans....

When Gaye's father shot Marvin he exclaimed "This is the last 45 you'll ever hear."
(You have to be over 40 to get this)
"Everybody is born, and everybody dies. Being born wasn't so bad , was it?"
Peter the Hermit
My favorite song of his was "I heard it through the grapevine". What a wonderful talent and voice. Terrible waste. RIP Marvin Gaye!
And it starts . . .
EXCLUSIVE: Marvin Gaye's family in ugly feud after $7.4m 'Blurred Lines' payout as his widow accuses his 'penniless' sisters of 'picking on his bones' and they say 'he would have hated to see us like this'

What a legend, such a tragic way to go, murdered by your own father. I didn't realise Marvin Snr had a brain tumour, maybe that is why he snapped that day and shot his son, plausible defense I guess. Another talent taken way to early, RIP Marvin Jnr, you were amazing, tortured soul but amazing.
