I've seen that picture of the redhead a lot and I always find it so striking. She was so gorgeous. It's such a shame that she was thrown out onto the side of the road. She looks like a mannequin.

I've always been to scared to look at the Elizabeth Short photos. Now that I have seen them, pretty gruesome stuff. Also, the Dahmer photo with the victim practically gutted over the bathtub is pretty bad.
The photos of her face before her mouth gashes are sewn up are particularly gruesome.

Thanks for both of your replies. I laughed at the comment about making sure nobody is looking over your shoulder. My husband knows about my FAD addiction, but some of the internet pictures of gooey green corpses freak him out and he seems to wonder why I look at such things. I'll "X" off of the gross stuff real fast if I know he's coming, although I think he learned to be careful about looking over my shoulder after the Budd Dwyer video. LOL

I just spent the better part of an hour looking through the photo's. I was surprised at all the murders for those times (1915-1920), there was even a gal killed with an ax! Damn!

I found the ship captain, who was murdered by his crew, kind of interesting. Looks like the photo was taken on the deck of a ship. What the heck? Did the crew keep him on board until they reached the port in NY? Crazy!!

Thje only drawback with the NYC crime photos is there is not much of a background story behind them. I would love to know why that captain's crew murdered him. What happened? How did he die.
There's a lot of photos on there that I would love to know what happend. Like that couple that are in bed and all the description said was "Double Homicide". His hat is on top of her which was odd. I wondered if it was really a homicide or a murder/suicide. Or maybe they staged the photo with the hat on her hip? Weird.

I think it's a fake. Soon after his death (like the next day) Pics were popping up. Some have malware in them so be careful if you do a search for them.

I figured it was fake, but the mouth looked so like his. And I hadnt seen this pic being shown around, but yes now I remember he was shot in the eye, and also they said the pic was very gory and that was one reason why they did not release it, I didnt think this pic was very gory.

I discovered that site about a year ago. Hubby decided to take a nap so I sat here on the computer and there was some Internet article about either one of the crimes or something that had a link to the site. I was on it for a couple hours myself while DH slept. I believe I had a martini as well, while I clicked through the photos LOL.

Years ago, one of the ADMEs who works in our state, showed me some photos of a guy who had died in a hot tub and had been there for a few days. when they pulled him out, same situation with his testicles, they were swollen. Same with a guy who died (the same ADME showed me the photo) on his couch. He had a t-shirt on but no pants. He had been dead for about a week, in the summer time. His sack was swollen as well. Must have something to do with fluids and gases building up in the body.

Those were truly awful.. thanks. I wonder if those really were victims of 9/11? They have kept a tight lid on those pictures. A friend knew someone who worked at the LA Times and that friend said that the raw footage coming to the newspaper that day was truly horrific.
I met a guy who claimed to have been an EMT on 9/11 and the days after. He said that one of the things that bothered him the most was that there were severed feet on the street. I always wondered if he was full of shit about being there, but that seems like a very odd thing to say if you weren't really there...
I believe him. My brother is a port authority cop and saw body parts everywhere. When the buildings came down he almost got hit by a human torso. They were finding body parts down there for years after.
The Hillside Strangler...something almost wickedly poetic about those photos. Weird. True evil.
