How about the Worst song you ever heard?

In my personal top two are:

"Bette Davis Eyes" by Kim Carnes
    "Do You Believe?" by Cher

but the absolute WORST, IMO, is this Paul Anka classic, "Having My Baby". Look at the lyrics! WTF?

    [Paul:]
    Havin' my baby
What a lovely way of sayin'
    How much you love me
    Havin' my baby
What a lovely way of sayin'
    What you're thinkin' of me
I can see it, face is glowin'
I can see in your eyes
    I'm happy you know it

    [Both:]
    That you're havin' my baby

    [Paul:]
    You're the woman I love
And I love what it's doin' to ya

    [Both:]
    Havin' my baby

    [Paul:]
    You're a woman in love
And I love what's goin' through ya

    [Paul:]
    The need inside you
    I see it showin'
    Whoa, the seed inside ya
Baby, do you feel it growin'
Are you happy you know it
    That you're

    [Both:]
    Havin' my baby

    [Odia:]
    I'm a woman in love
And I love what it's doin' to me

    [Both:]
    Havin' my baby

    [Odia:]
    I'm a woman in love
And I love what's goin' through me

    [Paul:]
    Didn't have to keep it
    Wouldn't put ya through it
You could have swept it from you life
    But you wouldn't do it
    No, you wouldn't do it

    [Both:]
    And you're havin' my baby

    [Odia:]
    I'm a woman in love
And I love what it's doin' to me

    [Both:]
    Havin' my baby

    [Odia:]
    I'm a woman in love
And I love what's goin' through me

    [Paul:]
Havin' my baby (havin' my baby)
What a lovely way of sayin'
    How much you love me

    [Paul:]
    Havin' my baby
    (havin' my baby)

    [Odia:]
    I'm a woman in love
And I love what's goin' through me

    Anyone else?

Lyrics taken from the: Original Version

    Ladies x3
    Here we go

    Chorus: 2x
Baby where'd you get your body from
Tell me where'd you get your body from
Baby where'd you get your body from
Tell me where'd you get your body from
I got it from my mama
I got it from my mama
I got it from my mama
I got it got it got got it

Honey lookin' good from her head to her toe
Beauty overload, body out of control
She twenty-four, she could be a model
    So beautiful, also natural
Mommy lookin good from her head to her feet
She forty-four, but she still lookin sweet
And you can tell her daughter ain't even at her peak
Cause her mama lookin so hot, packin that heat
So be a good girl and thank your mama
She make me steamin like a sauna
Look out, look out, here she come now
Look out, look out, here she come

    Chorus: 2x
Baby where'd you get your body from
Tell me where'd you get your body from
Baby where'd you get your body from
Tell me where'd you get your body from
I got it from my mama
I got it from my mama
I got it from my mama
I got it got it got got it

Girl, your beauty is a sensation
You sittin in, in a temptation
I never knew a girl could shine like a sun
You better thank your mama, cause girl, you the one
We should have a date of celebration
    Celebratin god's best creation
Girl you got a beautiful vibration
Everyday should be your birthday, hun
You make the guys all dumb
Maybe cause you're blessed with the beautiful buns
Maybe cause your beauty keep the dudes on sprung
Wonderin just where you got that from

    Chorus:
Baby where'd you get your body from
Tell me where'd you get your body from
Baby where'd you get your body from
Tell me where'd you get your body from
I got it from my mama
I got it from my mama
I got it from my mama
I got it got it got got it

Baby where'd you get your body from
Tell me where'd you get your body from
Baby where'd you get your body from
Tell me where'd you get your body from
You can tell all this right here
I got all this from my mama
All of this stuff right here
I got all this from my mama

    Ladies x7
    Here we go

    If the girl real fine,
    Nine times out of ten,
She fine just like her mama.
    If the girl real pretty,
    Nine times out of ten,
    She pretty like her mama.
And if her mama real ugly,
I guarantee ya she gon' be ugly like her mama.
And if her mama real ugly,
I guarantee ya she gon' be ugly like her mama.
    If the girl real sexy,
    Nine times out of ten,
    She sexy like her mama.
    If the girl real hot,
    Nine times out of ten,
She hot just like her mama.
And if her mama real ugly,
I guarantee ya she gon' be ugly like her mama.
And if her mama real ugly,
I guarantee ya she gon' be ugly like her mama, like her mama…

    Chorus:

Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods actually had another hit besides that infamous Billy tune. They had "Who Do You Think You Are". Actually not a bad tune, shame they are more known for Billy Don't Be a Hero.

The worst songs I can remember was the hits Donnie & Marie put out back in the 70s. Songs like "Morning Side of the Mountain" and "Deep Purple"

    does anyone remember....Pac Man Fever?

i dispise MOST rap songs, i know that a common misconception is that they are the same, hip hop on the cantrary is a lifestyle, and music comes from the likes ok RUN DMC, common, mos def, tablib qweli, dead prez, concious rappers with more organic beats, ect. people dont take it into consideration or are just brainwashed to think they are the same, when they are not. IMO, of course. i know that some rap songs are rediculously out of control, but there are some good ones.

If I have to hear The Pina Colada song ONE MORE TIME, some poor jukebox is going to get the crap knocked out of it with my Louisville Slugger.

I remember that song being played CONSTANTLY when I was a kid, and I hated it then. Now? I REALLY think it sucks. One of the most insipid, vapid, disgusting pieces of musical crap ever to grace the ears of its victims, I tell you.

Sorry to say, I just don't like ANY rap songs.

But these songs elicit a groan from me and the channel quickly gets changed if they play on my favorite rock stations:

    1. American Pie - Don McLean
    2. Twilight Zone - Golden Earring
    3. Radar Love - Golden Earring
    4. Blinded by the Light - Manfredd Mann

Worst song for me is that one by LFO, "Summer Girls". I remember hearing it and going "WTF.. someone wrote this, then produced it and made a video for it... really?"

I've always hated Piano Man by Billy Joel. Just makes me want to hang myself, or just gouge my own eyes out. Not sure why. It just grates on me worse than ABBA. Also, anything by ABBA.

I think Convoy might be the absolute worst song. 10-4, good buddy!

I am sad to say, yes, I remember Pac-Man fever, being ten years older than baseball myself.

By the gods, where to start! It seems like there are more stupid songs out there every time I turn around.
I hope to never hear "My Heart Will Go On" as performed by Celen Dion, or anyone else, ever again. It was a crappy song to begin with, and then got overkill airplay. The lyrics make no sense at all and are redundant.

Then there is "MacArthur Park". I'm sure in someone's marijuana-addled mind that song made sense. Either that, or it's code for some depraved set of sexual practices and the lyrics went completely over my head, but still . . .
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacArthur_Park_(song)

It made Dave Barry's list of worst songs ever recorded (as recorded by Richard Harris- whoa!), so I'm not entirely alone in my opinion. Hee!

    Cheers,
    Amy
