Dave Dave, 42, burned as child by father

I did not quite know where to put this new obit, whether in Notable Figures of in Police Blotter... Dave's lifelong injuries were the result of a terrible crime committed by his own father (which human cockroach still lives and was sent back to prison because of other crimes) but the young man made a living for himself in spite of it. He also had a longtime association with the late Michael Jackson, who had paid some of his medical bills and allowed him to visit Neverland, which I guess might be considered... something. But his recent demise, though it was in a hospital, is also rather mysterious and is under current investigation, so... P.S., I did a search for either Rothenberg and though I could swear there WAS once a thread about the 1983 crime (and the TV film DAVID which came out several years later), it's not surfacing.

Trust the Daily Mail to have the gossipy side (and more pictures) but at least gives clues to what may have contributed to his death.

His website. Sadly, he was preparing for an upcoming East Coast exhibit of his works.

Holy shit. Dave Dave??s father??s cell should be plastered with DD??s ??Lifted? lithography artwork - that image, over and over and over again, reminding the father that he wasn??t able to kill a beautiful spirit.

As for cause of death, unintentional OD makes sense; can??t imagine the daily pain management. But overheating makes sense, too. He probably couldn??t sweat properly or cope with weather extremes with his skin like that. So sad.

I was thinking that as well, Mirror, about burn victims not being able to sweat properly and it's been very hot here in California lately. I remember watching a lifetime movie about Dave Dave, it was about his father and the events of the burning, and such, very sad.
