    Paul Junger Witt, TV & film hits producer

    One of the founders, with Danny's son Tony Thomas and Witt's eventual wife Susan Harris, for the extremely busy production company Witt/ Thomas /Harris, and their TV hits such as GOLDEN GIRLS, SOAP, and BENSON, along with producing well-regarded movies such as DEAD POET'S SOCIETY and THREE KINGS, as well as the iconic original TV bio-pic BRIAN'S SONG , with a career reaching back into the early 1960s, directing shows such as THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY and HERE COME THE BRIDES... Died of cancer, aged 77.

    Dang - I'd have expected him to be older with a career going back that far.

    50+ years of increasing success in the business isn't bad-- heck, I can just remember OCCASIONAL WIFE, practically at the dawn of my consciousness.
    It would appear that PJW was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time with the right instincts.
