The video of the fire fighters ling up and saluting, then the dog being carried out in an American flag made my wife cry. Got to me too.
To my Father. Even though you have crossed the plane, you will always be with me.
You were not just my Father, but my hero. My life has been a poor attempt to be like you
You taught me music, vocals, and how to fight. I can only hope I am half the man you are
When I close my eyes I can see you. And finally, Thank you Dad. for everything.

Bretagne and her family lived very near us here in Cypress, TX... God rest her sweet, precious soul. That ceremony, and the accompanying video, had me crying my heart out too... RIP lovely baby doggie. xo

Casper, I love you so much baby boy... waking up with you in the house is a blessing every day! Thank you for filling our home and hearts with so much love, joy, laughter and ever so sweet Sammy smiles! We belong together! XOXOX

Ugh even the apology just sounds like a plug for their store

Wow! Even more disturbing, on FB this morning I had someone wish to all on her list a Happy 9/11 for tomorrow. Like it's some kind of holiday. People were reaming her out, I just deleted her. Unbelievable.

I can remember the day like it was yesterday I was in a program at school where I got out half day to go to work and when my Grandpa came to pick me up he was like "Boy there was a airplane joy riding that crashed into the World Trade Center" and I was like "Oh shit really?" by the time we made it home and I was walking in the door the TV was on showing a replay of the planes then all of a sudden the 2nd tower fell.

I'm convinced that most of the time when businesses put out potentially offensive ads or products, it's for publicity.

What's with all the "Mr. Obama"'s? Is he not still the President? Are not all presidents, past or present, referred to as President such-and-such?

I agree. Just imagine - every Iraqi citizen could sue the USA for the Iraq War. The Japanese could sue for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The lawsuits and liability would be endless, hence, the principle of sovereign immunity. Obama was right ( for once).

I still have nightmares about the jumpers.
For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

What's so good about goodbye, when the best was yet to come?

Critics outraged over use of 9/11 memorial in scene from TV show 'Billions'

I watched this episode and I didn't think anything of it. The 9/11 attacks are part of history now.

"There are 1,112 people who haven’t been identified after they died the World Trade Center was hit by a plane and collapsed." I did not know the number was still this high.

I remember watching a documentary about 911-I can't remember which one but in all of the chaos there was the eeriest shot of some guy just standing there on the staircase for the longest time looking into space which was strange and you could hear each "thump" and of course you know what it was..Making you wonder what kind of Hell it must have been that jumping was the so called better option. I've never cried at watching a documentary but sure did with that one.
    I still think about that-
    Very sad.

I forgot to mention where I was on 9/11. I was in school and while I don't remember how I first heard about the attacks or whether I got to go home early, I do remember worrying about my dad since he was working in the Pentagon that day. Fortunately, he wasn't where the building was struck and thus survived with no injuries much to my siblings', mom's, and my relief. I always considered myself lucky as a result and feel awful for those who weren't.

See this story here - https://www.snopes.com/news/2015/11/...-cheering-911/
There weren't cheering Muslims in NJ on 9/11, they were a small group of Israeli youths who per the story were "perhaps not recognizing the import of what they were seeing."
