Yes it was kinda odd. I guess they didn't want to say he was dead only for Hurley to reappear down the road. Sort of like in the case with another bear porn star that time it was Buster. Some years back rumor was Buster had died. Not only did he reappear he kinda relaunched his career by doing balloon porn. Yes there are guys out there with a fetish of popping balloons with their cigars naked. I don't get it but whatever floats their boat.

Actually there are quite a few porn stars in the bear world who had disappeared and then resurfaced. Fitzdog disappeared for awhile but reappeared some years back in Denver in very bad shape. When I saw him it looked like he had a stroke. Then there was Matt Taggert. I was friends with him on Facebook for a time until he had deleted his profile there. I did get an email from him about two years ago he had overcame his problem with meth and found a job as a truck driver and he no longer involves himself with anything inside the bear community. Actually he blames the bears for getting him hooked on meth.

Not surprised Hurley's comeback was short lived though. He has some serious competition now with a guy in North Carolina who has a following on Xtube. I have Ted's movie Spunky Bears in my collection LOL. Both Fitzdog and Taggert did their movies through Bear Films as well. Fitzdog was in Rocky Mountin Bears with his partner Jack Johnson who is almost as bad off as Fitzdog is mainly due to his severe tobacco addiction talking at least 6 packs a day plus cigars and a few cans of skoal too. Believe it or not the balloon fetish is more popular than people think and does have a huge following. There was a program on here in the UK a few years back and if I didn't see some of the stuff on the list, I would have thought someone was taking the piss but if that's what floats their boat then whatever.

I know what you mean about the porn thing as well. They saw exactly what happened behind the scenes with the way the girls and guys were being treated with some doing three or four scenes a day and rather than wanting to do it like they thought, many were in the business because they had no other option or they had been tricked into it by fancy talking. Obviously there were some who said they were doing it willingly but most of them seemed like they were dead behind the eyes yet all those around them seemed to care about was getting the scene shot so another could start filming.

It was pretty clear they were showing them that it wasn't this glamorous adventure they expected it to be and some scenes actually gave you the shudders. You knew it wasn't gonna be puppies and rainbows but to actually see it like that was something else. The bit that really got me was when they actually talked to the people doing it and it was only then that they started to realise it could just as easily be one of their family or friends in that position.

This morning a buddy of mine on Facebook had sent me a story about a young gay man he knows who lives in Columbus, Ohio. Ten years ago he and his then partner while vacationing in Florida were asked if they would be willing to do a porn. They figured..well why not ?? No they didn't get into drugs or anything like that actually they said that the shoot was actually fun to do and they were paid well ( somewhere around 1000 bucks for that one scene ). At the time of the shoot they were told by the director that the still publicity pics they had done they could post them online. They did. OK that was ten years ago. The couple has since broke up and he had just married his new man. Well he had started a new job in Columbus ( retail management ) only to notice that his paycheck was now being garnished. He had no idea why since he never had any money issues before. Turns out his check ( and his ex's check ) was being garnished thanks to a porn company one they had never heard of who several years ago ( 2011 ) had received a default judgement against them due to a copyright violation. The director who made the movie sold the rights to another porn company and of course he didn't tell the actors about it. The new owners went online and went to the various websites including Facebook where guys would post pics of themselves and found that he and his ex still had the publicity photos from that movie online and since they didn't get the ok from the new owners ( how would they had known ?? )..well there ya go. He claims he was never served ( hardly a shocker ) and his ex knew about the lawsuit but thought it was some kind of a prank ( that isn't much of a shocker either )...anyway the two guys are now dealing with a judgement of about 15K EACH all because they had thought it would had been so cool to do a porno.

Great post!!! The hardest thing for me is that each and every one of those girls is someone's daughter. For a mom, its hard enough and I couldn't possibly imagine my daughter (who is 21) involved in this, but I think it might even be more difficult for the fathers of these little girls. They saw exactly what happened behind the scenes with the way the girls and guys were being treated with some doing three or four scenes a day and rather than wanting to do it like they thought, many were in the business because they had no other option or they had been tricked into it by fancy talking. Of course being a horny 29 year old I jumped at the chance.

It was shot at an upscale home in La Jolla and involved two scenes. A girl solo and a girl/girl. There was one videographer, a director and makeup person. It was clean, smelled nice (incense) and relaxed. What also surprised me is how the girls talked with each other before the shoot began. They talked about what each liked and didn't like etc...

It was the opposite of what I expected and gave me a new appreciation because I realized some pornographers actually cared about the girls and cared about the integrity of the production. I'd like to think there are still shoots like this today but I would concede more times they are as you described.

It's all about time and money now like most things. Like you say, there are still some places who put the guys/girls comforts first but it seems more rare now as it seems most stuff is filmed for company sites or girls/guys personal ones, they want as much filmed in a day as possible so they can do what needs to be done and get it put online and if that means putting them on a set with someone they only have time to say hello to before it starts then so be it and they just have to figure things out as they film and if it's uncomfortable for either of them then so what.
