Tragic. Aside from him being a great player, I've been hearing that he was a kind and decent person, always ready to help if someone was in need. RIP Roy.
Today you could be standing next to someone who is trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness.

In his prime, he was a GREAT pitcher. It's weird to think he had been out of baseball for 4 years, and was still only 40. When his ability went away, it went away FAST. He is one of 20 pitchers to throw a perfect game, and along with Don Larsen one of 2 pitchers to throw a no-hitter in the playoffs.

    RIP
    Sincerely yours,
    Upset

Denver ran out of fuel because the switch was located behind him and he couldn't reach it - a death trap

Yeah it was in a different position to what he was used to and he couldn't reach it from where he was sitting IIRC.

That's horrible that he couldn't reach it.

Yeah, he showboated a bit too close that last time. I kind of think his wife had a premonition.

The NTSB have finished their preliminary report according to TMZ and have reported he was flying too close to homes and making irresponsible turns moments before the crash. A witness also said they saw him climbing 300-500 feet then nose diving.
