Woman's Body Stolen from Casket at Funeral Home

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/08/23.../?intcmp=hpbt3

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crim...icle-1.2334302

Julie Mott died at 25 from complications of cystic fibrosis.

After her funeral service, her casket was moved into a hallway where it would be transferred for cremation.

The next day, workers found the casket broken into and empty.

Since no alarms were tripped, they figure someone took the body during business hours between 1:30pm and 4:30pm.

The funeral home is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to those responsible.

could be a cultural thing ... often happens where i live ... different traditions that the state doesn't approve of and all that ... or there could be a complete sicko on the loose

I heard this being discussed on D/FW radio this morning. One of the morning talkers remarked that scuttlebutt is that someone in the Mott extended family or close to the family, objected strongly to cremation. Perhaps even someone who had a crush on the young lady.

First time I have seen her photos...beautiful girl.

Acording to number four here, another blond woman's body went missing in the area in 1997. Very strange story.

I read the same thing Bidmor stated above, a family member was upset she was to be cremated. Now, I wonder what the hell they did with? Maybe they should check everyone to see if a new freezer is in the family.

Maybe somebody is planning to have it stand upright at a three day wake.

Wouldn't be the first time, you know.

man oh man. WTF is wrong with people? You don't want her cremated? What do you want, to have her stuffed and mounted so you can watch her forever? You burn up or you rot in the ground. What's the difference? Personally I don't care what happens to my body after I die, someone can dump it in the woods for all I care. As for my family members, as long as I have a place to go see them (as in a grave marker) that's all I care about. It's the symbolism, I'm not thinking of the physical state of their body when I go pay my respects anyway. Weirdos.

oh no. I'm guessing I don't want to know. I'm sure my curiosity will get the best of me and I'll look it up eventually.

I just read another article that says they think it was a guy who was obsessed with her. This article made it sound like the "someone being against cremation" stuff was just a guess thrown out by the funeral director, was it something the family had actually fought about? Anyone know?

I'm wondering how he got her out of there. It said she was through 2 locked doors. But then says they are looking at the guy who was the last one out of her viewing or service or whatever it was, but if they know he was the last one leaving he obviously didn't have the body then. How did he get her? Weird.

Pachmama - I remember the incident you're talking about in the DFW area. When they found her in a ditch beside the road IIRC, they commented she had on a light colored body suit type thing. Apparently thiat is not unusual to put on corpses. I assume it's one of those things to keep all the fluids inside or something.

That suit is called unionall or unionalls made of thin but resonate vinyl which fits over the entire body leaving only hands and neck exposed via elastic bands to prevent leakage and odor, particularly in autopsied cases. I'm always reminded of unionalls whenever I see the photo of Bonnie Parker in her casket...she was leaking all over her dress and I can't imagine the odor. Evidently Bonnie got the cheap treatment at the funeral home.

i once "obtained" a van to commit certain deeds ....... had a raised floor in the back ... i had look and there was a coffin with a body in it .... looking back when i returned it, i really should of asked for a refund, wasn't exactly fit for purpose with a corpse in there ... lol good times

Wow, they found another body? Crazy.

I can't believe they haven't found her yet. If it was this obsessed guy I wonder what he heck he did with her (remains, I know it's not really her anymore)?

Omg they still haven't found this poor girl! From what I've read, there is a man that she had had a relationship with in the past and he was a bit obsessive. He's the one seen leaving the funeral last. He allegedly posted on mydeathspace.com on Julie's thread. It was interesting to say the least...

also, it should be noted the funeral director who made the royal fuck up? His name is Dick Tips. No joke.

I could have lived a million lifetimes without needing to know what "munting" is/was but I'll never be able to unknow this crap. As many death hags, I probably have a warped sense of not freaking out about bodies not being where they're supposed to be or being allowed to have a "proper burial" and all that but there's a trillion miles between ashes to ashes, dust to dust and what some sick fucks need bodies for. I hope this young woman's body is found and returned. Anyway, for those who haven't seen her, this link is pretty good:

Go read the "Julie Mott" thread at the mydeathspace.com forum. The person of interest/ex BF actually posted on there several times. It was actually creepy the way he'd give "explanations" for the way he acted and whatnot. His UN was Heartbroken1 at first. He kept getting banned and would make new accounts but never hid who he was. Talk about good forum drama.
