The first night I didn't even know she used milk. The broth looked like chicken broth. But the second night the "broth" was white. OMG ewwww.

Didn't eat breakfast or lunch and may not eat dinner. I'm pissed off today.

Hi PK, I love milk as well~ As I get older I have a few issues with it though.
Isn’t 65 mg alot of sodium?
Cindy, I know you can use cream or milk in a pinch in “cream of chicken” soup but I’ve not heard of it in chicken noodle soup..Maybe your sissy was aiming for cream of chicken soup or to extend the broth?
I do use milk or cream in my potato soup- occasionally I use cream in my tomato soup..
    Just my 2cents..

No, she's a very good cook and knows the difference between chicken noodle and cream of chicken.

I don't mind milk in potato and tomato soups. Heck, the chili in school was so hot I added milk. Ew. But it was good back then.

Hi his and hers, no 65 mg is not high, when you look at some canned soups that have 400-500 mg per 1/2 cup of serving, so that is way under, the recommended daily amount of sodium for people is 2400 mg, if you want to cut sodium then it should be 1500-1800 mg.

Thanks PK, I always have a hard time figuring that out..Just like vitamins their mcg ( or whatever it is) and mg is confusing.
Too much salt for me = too many bathroom runs for me in the night.

I swell up with to much salt always have since I was a kid, I had to look back at my post when you asked if it was to many mgs, to make sure I didn't put grams, LOL. not sure what I am going to have tonight for dinner, it's hubby's bday and he is going to his mom's for their weekly dinner, he and I will do something tomorrow for his day, I may just have a fruit smoothie, not sure yet.

Salmon, cheesy rice, and green beans. Romulade (sp???) sauce on the side for the salmon.

I really want a deep dish pizza from Giordano's, but I'm going to the grocery store first to see if the deli has this cheese tortellini that I love. They haven't had it the last 3 times I've been there. They sometimes rotate the salads they have, so hopefully it's time for this again.

I got a Geno's East deep dish frozen pizza that I'm going to have tonight. I am seriously opposed to frozen pizza, but this one is really good, the only one that's worth it, IMO. It's so good. I want to try the real Geno's to see how it compares.

Leftover Brunswick Stew and saltine crackers; probably the baked potato I didn't eat for lunch. I'm off salads for a while. I don't have a gallbladder to provide the bile to digest raw veggies. I can eat them in moderation, otherwise--like yesterday--I pay for it in pain.

Cheeseburgers, tater tots, and a giant chocolate-chip cookie each.

Rest of the week, tentatively. Meetings can and do cause me to rearrange the menus a bit, as do what Miss E or I might be craving on a particular night.

Sunday: Homemade sausage pizza (meeting night, I'll make the dough in the afternoon and when I get back, start putting pizzas together)
Monday: Cheesy tuna casserole (laundry night)
Tuesday: Chicken nuggets and tater tots (meeting night)
    Wednesday: Hamburger Helper (meeting night)
Thursday: Pork chops, mashed potatoes, and green beans
Friday: Grilled chicken breasts, macaroni and cheese, and corn IF Miss E is home. If she's not, I'll fend for myself usually finishing up any leftover deli meats from my lunches.
Saturday: Traditional Cinco de Mayo fare around here: Mexican food.
