In all honesty I'm surprised it lasted this long.
Madonna is a great performer and I'm sure she has good points as a human being but IMHO she'd be a pain in the arse to live with.

She's obsessive with stopping the aging thing and well the religion..... ahuh think I'll just shut my mouth

So Guy get out while you still can and run like hell buddy

I found it interesting she would attack Guy for being "emotionally retarded" I read that term and then a variation on it! UCK Madonna!

Anyways thats a bit rough I thought from possibly the most emotionally challenged woman in the public eye today!

Funny, for someone who used to change her look constantly, she hasn't done so in a long while. Same hair color and style....getting a bit ho-hum.

Same thing happened with Streisand after a certain age....she was quite the chameleon in the 60s and early 70s, then she just stopped.

Maybe Madge is a little (nuts?) insecure. I like the Material Guy bit. She is looking good though.

    Madonna's 'marriage contract'

Madonna tried to control Guy Ritchie with a "marriage contract", which gave intimate instructions on how to act towards each other.

(BANG) - Madonna tried to control Guy Ritchie with a "marriage contract", it has been claimed.
The "contract" was drawn up after the couple - who split after nearly eight years of marriage two weeks ago - visited marriage counselors two years ago.
The document gave intimate instructions such as how much private time the couple should have together, how often they were to have sex and how to tackle arguments.
According to Britain's The Sun newspaper the document ordered Guy to "Work to enrich his wife's emotional and spiritual wellbeing," and devote time to reading texts related to Kabbalah, the mystical offshoot of Judaism which Madonna follows.
On sex, the marriage rules state both of the couple should "devote time to our sexual expressiveness" and "not use sex as a stick to beat one another".
The rules also detailed how Guy should "resolve conflicts in a constructive way", and if they were arguing he must not shout at his wife, but look her in the eye and say: "I understand that my actions have upset you, please work with me to resolve this."
A source close to the couple said: "Guy felt bound up."
According to other insiders, Madonna pinned the contract to the wall of the couple's home in New York, and if things became heated between them, she would say: "Contract, Guy, contract."
The British film director was spotted on the set of his new film 'Sherlock Holmes' in the UK yesterday (28.10.08), strumming a classical guitar.
He reportedly took up the instrument after Madonna bought him one while they were dating.
After Guy reportedly rejected his wife's initial offer of a $40 million settlement, Madonna's friends are reportedly calling him "Material Guy", in reference to her famous hit 'Material Girl'. He maintains he is only requesting the cash equivalent of the value of their London home - estimated to be worth $50 million - and their country estate in Wiltshire.

Well, look, poor Guy. Marrying Madonna? Sounded great at the time, as a concept. Too bad they had to drag kids into it.

    "Contract, Guy, contract.'

    Madonna's emotional Guy call

Madonna has reportedly spoken to estranged husband Guy Ritchie for the first time in weeks, after making an emotional phone call to the director in a bid to settle their divorce out of court.

(BANG) - Madonna has reportedly spoken to estranged husband Guy Ritchie for the first time in weeks in a bid to settle their divorce out of court.
The 50-year-old singer - who announced earlier this month she and Guy are splitting after nearly eight years of marriage - is believed to have made an emotional phone call to the director on Tuesday night (28.10.08) to come to an amicable agreement about the separation.
A source told the MailOnline website: "It was a very emotional call and a sign of the desperation Madonna feels for them to settle before things start getting more serious legally.
"Madonna tried to remind Guy of all the good times, said how they must settle before it got any more messy and public. She said she had always worked so hard to provide for the family. She said she had been saddened by some of the criticisms of her which appeared to have come from his camp."
Madonna, who raises three children with Guy, was reportedly encouraged to contact her estranged spouse by her Kabbalah spiritual leader Rabbi Berg.
Berg wants the couple to remain on speaking terms so the reputation of Kabbalah, a mystical offshoot of Judaism, is not damaged.
A source close to Madonna said after the tearful conversation, the singer cried openly in front of her staff for the first time, after the strain of their bitter split took its toll.

Guy Ritchie Hires Top Custody Lawyer

    Guy Ritchie's custody lawyer

Guy Ritchie has hired a top lawyer to ensure his children with estranged wife Madonna continue to live in the UK.

(BANG) - Guy Ritchie has hired a top lawyer to ensure his children continue living in the UK.
The British director - who split from Madonna last month after nearly eight years of marriage - has employed Stephen Cobb QC, a specialist in divorce cases involving the residency of children.
Madonna, 50, is said to be keen to take the couple's son Rocco, eight, their adopted son David Bana, three, and her 12-year-old daughter Lourdes to live in New York, but Guy is adamant they must continue living and being educated in the UK.
A source said: "There are only a handful of barristers who specialize in leave-to-remove applications and he is the best in that area."
The '4 Minutes' singer is reportedly desperate to start building a new life in her home country but cannot take the children without Guy's permission or unless she is granted leave by a court.
Madonna has hired Fiona Shackleton - who represented Prince Charles and Sir Paul McCartney in their divorce cases - to act for her.
As well as arguing over the children, the couple are said to be locked in a bitter dispute over how much of Madonna's estimated $555 million fortune Guy will be awarded.
It had been hoped the pair would be able to settle their divorce as a mediation hearing, but that is not looking less and less likely.
A source said: "Madonna and Guy are miles apart."
Mr Cobb refused to comment on his involvement

I saw a picture of Britney and Madonna dueting. Surprise, surprise, Britney looked young, fresh and lovely in a high-necked white ruffled shirt. Absolutely adorable.

Madge? some sort of black see-through tart outfit, Bette Davis/Baby Jane makeup, top hat, sinews...like a drag parody of herself. Sorry, but she really needs to soften her look. I'd be glad to help her out.

I get the impression that Madonna has more than met her match in Guy Ritchie ie. someone who is just as strong-willed as her, belligerent if need be and won't compromise one iota unless it's to his benefit - and that especially applies to the issue of their children.
And the fact is she and her 'yes' people (ie. sycophants and hangers-on) cannot come to terms with that- hence why she seems to be showing the strain of this divorce far more than him.

I agree. Also, her age probably has something to do with the strain. It's a tough transitional time for any woman, much less one as self-absorbed and appearance-obsessed as Madonna.

No doubt she did and probably still does in some way or another. And vice-versa. But I always got the impression that as this marriage progressed so most things had to be done on her terms ie. him becoming more and more the 'Mr Madonna'. Maybe Ritchie was satisfied with that to a point - but once they had their son (and their adopted son) then, I guess, he started to dig his heels in and the differences in their respective lifestyle and outlook started to become more pronounced and difficult. That, I suppose, was inevitable.

Guy Ritchie Doesn't Give A Shit

Guy Ritchie was reunited with Rocco and David in London yesterday after not seeing them for a few weeks. They've been prisoners of the gristle monster. Vadge wasn't going to let control go that easily. The Daily Mail claims that she sent a list of rules with her boys that Guy must follow. If he doesn't, she will never eject his shriveled nuts from her roided-up vagina prison.

    Here's THE LIST:
Under no circumstances should they be allowed to read newspapers, magazines, or watch TV or DVDs.

They must adhere at all times to a macrobiotic, vegetarian, organic diet with no processed or refined food.

All water they drink, even when it is to dilute organic juice, should be Kabbalah water.

They should wear the clothes Madonna has sent with them on the flight. If they need to be bought anything, they should not contain any man-made fibers.

Their hands should be regularly cleaned with disinfectant spray if they are in public places.

They should not be bought toys that are spiritually or ethically unsound.
Guy should not discuss the separation with them.

Madonna should have phone contact with the boys as much as three or four times a day at times set by her.

The boys should not be introduced to Guy's new friends, especially any new female friends.

Madonna has encouraged the access to give time with the boys, rather than his parents spending large amounts of time with them.

The boys should not be photographed while with Guy. It is his responsibility to organize security so that does not happen.

At bedtime, Guy should read David the English Rose books Madonna wrote.
Oops. Guess who was photographed with David and Rocco yesterday at the airport? Guy broke a rule! No gold star for him!
Hopefully, he'll continue to break rule after rule. He should make sure he's papped going into a porn theater, with the boys wearing polyester, eating cookies and candy, with a G.I. Joe toy in one hand and in the other hand a copy of OK! magazine with the tagline "Madge & Guy: It's Over!"

Recently I was thinking that all Madonnas fanatical health regimes and diets have only resulted in her looking like an old junkie?

She looks as wasted as someone who has really abused themselves.... regardless of all the facework, macrobiotic food and $100 creams!

Why is that ? Confused ? I know I am!

Ageing doesnt have to be that bad? Perhaps she is blessed with everything but great ageing genes! Wouldn't that be a bugger!!!

And maybe her addictions are just as destructive as anyone else's (I know I have to stop being so deep!) and go back to my work!

Madonna has received 100 copies of the horror movie 'It'.
The '4 Minutes' singer has been inundated with DVDs of the famous film since it was reported last week her ex-husband Guy Ritchie refers to her by the insulting term.
A source said: "She's received the packages at all of her addresses so she suspects they are from somebody she knows. And she is furious."
Madonna has also received 50 copies of the novel by Stephen King, which is about a child-murdering clown.
The source added to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "It's been said that Guy compared her to Pennywise the clown, the evil monster with the dodgy make-up. But now her homes are full of reminders and she doesn't know how to get rid of them."
The 40-year-old 'RocknRolla' director and Madonna, 50, announced they were divorcing last October after nearly eight years of marriage.
Last week, it was revealed that Guy used the offensive name even before the couple split.
A source said: "Even towards the end of their marriage, he would call her 'It'. He told people, 'We can't make 'It' angry'. Or Guy would say, 'Oh, 'It' is in a bad mood today'. There is absolutely no love lost between them."
They were granted a decree nisi in a London High Court last November but still remain embroiled in a bitter custody battle over the two sons they raise together, Rocco, eight and adopted David, three.
A US court hearing about custody of the children is scheduled for next month.

Had to laugh when reading about Sean Penn's parting shot to Madonna when they came face to face at an after show party at this year's Oscars. After congratulating him on his performance in Milk, Penn gestured to her new toy-boy model Jesus Luz (aged 22) and said: "Thanks. Another kid already?"

    cbcnews:

A children's aid agency in the U.K. has urged Madonna to reconsider her plans to adopt another child from Malawi, asking her to "please think twice."
Dominic Nutt of Save the Children UK says orphans from a poor nation, such as Malawi, are best cared for by the people in their country.
"The thing to do is to support the community, to support local agencies and charities who can look after the child so that the child is at least cared for in their community," Nutt told BBC News.
Officials in Malawi have confirmed the pop star has begun adoption proceedings. The recently-divorced singer already adopted a Malawian boy in 2006.
She had been in the country that year to check out the work of her charity, Raising Malawi, and to film the documentary I Am Because We Are, about the effect of poverty and AIDS on the country. More than 14 per cent of the nation's population of about 12 million is afflicted with HIV.
She courted controversy because the boy, David Banda, has a father who decided to give him up.
Reports have said the second Malawian child lost both parents. That doesn't matter, according to Nutt.
"Children should not be taken abroad to be looked after, but should be cared for in their own environment by their own community, ideally by their own family, particularly their extended family."
An official at the Malawian department of women and child welfare told the BBC Madonna's adoption case could be heard as early as next week.
Madonna also has two biological children â?? Rocco, her son with former husband Guy Ritchie, and Lourdes, whose father is Carlos Leon. Ritchie's and Madonna's divorce was completed in November.
Malawi does not usually approve adoptions for single or divorced people, but authorities at the country's welfare department have said that each case is considered on merit.

LILONGWE (Reuters) - Madonna will not be allowed to adopt a second child from Malawi, a 4-year-old girl named Mercy James, the African country's High Court ruled on Friday.

The ruling will please campaigners who say authorities have given the singer special treatment. Malawi's government, which came under fire after Madonna adopted a 13-month-old Malawian boy, had said on Thursday it would support a second adoption.

Court registrar Ken Manda told reporters Madonna's bid to adopt Mercy had been rejected because the star was not a resident of Malawi.

An AIDS epidemic in the impoverished southern African country has orphaned more than one million children.

In her ruling, Judge Esimie Chombo warned against celebrity adoptions, saying they could lead to child trafficking.

"Anyone could come to Malawi and quickly arrange for an adoption that might have grave consequences on the very children that the law seeks to protect," she said.

Madonna's lawyer, Alan Chinula, said she would lodge an appeal with the Supreme Court on Friday. Her London spokeswoman was not immediately available for comment.

Madonna has entertained millions around the world with sexy high-energy performances and songs like "Material Girl" and "Papa Don't Preach," and created controversies along the way.

In 1989, the video for "Like A Prayer," with its links between religion and eroticism, was condemned by the Vatican and caused Pepsi-Cola to cancel a sponsorship deal with the star.

Madonna surprised fans in February by dedicating another of her hits, "Like a Virgin," to the pope at a concert in Rome.

Malawian rights groups, who accused the government of skirting residency laws when Madonna adopted David Banda in 2006, also opposed the latest adoption attempt.

Prominent rights activist Mavuto Bamusi defined said the decision was a "defining moment for child protection" but urged the pop star to continue her charity work.

"We finally appeal to Madonna to take this positively and continue to help the children of this country," he told Reuters.

Malawian Information Minister Patricia Kaliati said on Thursday that Madonna had helped in the country and was a worthy mother who was supporting over 25,000 orphans here.

Madonna's charity, Raising Malawi, plans to build a multi-million dollar school for girls in Chikhota village, about 12 km (7 miles) outside Lilongwe.

Madonna, accompanied by David, arrived in Malawi on Sunday ahead of the court examination of her application.

The star, who was divorced last year from British film director Guy Ritchie, is one of the most successful singers of all time, with album sales of more than 200 million.

I'm confused on this one. I think it's wonderful if she can give an opportunity to a child. I guess I don't see anything wrong with it. She's only got 3 kids and can certainly afford more. She seems like she's raising her kids right. I don't like her at all, but this is one thing I cannot criticize her for. If I had the money I'd love to give a child an opportunity. As long as the right reason is in her heart, I say go for it.
