    ‘Elliot Rodger’ Bills Pass Legislature

Williams and Jackson Proposed New Gun Control Laws in Wake of Isla Vista Killings

I told my lawyer he's better step it up or we would both end up on an episode of "SNAPPED"

There is a new episode of Law and Order: SVU which seems loosely based on this story. It's called "Holden's Manifesto". Currently on Hulu.

Slogging my way through the 'manifesto' now. It's taking days...

I did find this article (not sure if it's been posted before) and it was rather enlightening. Doing a search for "Elliot Rodger friends" comes up with some interesting stuff. As a step-mother of a very difficult child (18 now) I suspected his view of her was skewed, so I've been really interested to read what he perceived and what others perceived about incidents he mentions.

Keep us updated on the manifesto!! I'm too busy to read it or I would. Maybe when I finish school. I would love to know what you get out of it. Great link, btw.

He states this as an observation of the whacko: "
I'm not a psychologist, but looking back now he strikes me as someone who was broken from the moment of conception.". I find this very telling. He was born without empathy. I think that is what happens in situations like this. Such as the Sandy Hook Elementary shooter - he had no soul. Neither did this guy and it was obvious. But what can you do? I love my children and if I realized he didn't have a soul do I alert the police? With people like this walking around it is inevitable that something is gonna happen and no way to prevent what you can't specifically predict.

This article claims that Rodger was the first violent member of the alt-right. It's an extremely weak argument, IMO. Basically: he says a few racist things in the manifesto and he researched Nazis and Hitler, therefore he's part of the movement. Hope nobody finds out I'VE done research on Hitler.

    Amen.
I'm a closet Nazi too - I've read Rise and Fall of The Third Reich and Adolph Hitler, among other books about the era, the man, and his followers.

That makes me almost as fanatical as some of those guys - what are they called - historians?

Seems like we American Nazi types would be all giddy about our current political situation but I'm just not feeling it.
