Irving Pincus (1914-1984) "The Real McCoys"

Talk about some thin information. Hardly anything seems to be in print about the creator, producer, and main writer for "The Real McCoys," a program which ran for six seasons--and danged if anyone can ever remember a single episode plot! For some reason, Grandpappy Amos (Walter Brennan) moves his farm from West Virginia to Cali-for-nigh-ay, and that's about wall I can recall. Feel free to add any info you can find. It ain't much.

Somebody does remember at least one...

I remember one when Grandpappy got a job at a hardware store. Customers were coming in to buy tools. He'd ask them what they needed them for and then proceed to tell them that they didn't need a tool as expensive as that for the job at hand; convince them to buy a cheaper tool more suited for the job.

    He got fired.

I don't remember the name of the producer but the show kicked up some dust in the attic.
