Bummer.
Well this completely sucks. "Billy Jack" was one of my very favorite films. I had always hoped things would get back on track for him to make more movies.

Oh my. We had a small town theater and when Billy Jack played people were lined up to see it. This is a bummer, dang.
One Tin Soldier rides away.
RIP another part of my childhood gone
That sucks - I loved the first movie.
A faulty hypothesis forming:
A German scientist using Iranian physics and French mathematics.
Great guy. R.I.P., Tom.
Wow- three in 24 hours... And darn, TCM already assembled their year-end tribute. Must fix ASAP!
Remembering seeing THE TRIAL OF BILLY JACK back in the day. The climax of the film was a bonafide shocker to me. I think I cried over that for days.
I remember those movies. They used to play them all the time on the UHF channels in the late 70's early 80s.
That's too bad he passed away.
Live free or die: Death is not the worst of evils.
One Tin Soldier Road Away..................
I remember standing in line for a midnight showing of Billy Jack and having someone streak the movie line. What a classic 70s experience. I loved that movie and for years had a burning desire, when asked, to tell people that my first name was "Up" and my last name was "Yours."
I mean, they say you die twice.
One time when you stop breathing and a second time, a bit later on, when somebody says your name for the last time.

I have to say that I am more than a little disappointed that there have been virtually no "announcements" of his death. Perhaps his family wanted it that way, and if so, I respect that. But if not, it's really a shame that this news was seemingly ignored.

I had the biggest crush on him in that movie!
And I am sure I was not alone!
Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
"There won't be any trumpets blowing,
Come the Judgement Day.
On the bloody morning after,
One tin soldier rides away"
Guess that last line would be a good working title for a biography of Tom Laughlin!
On the BillyJack.com site, they also ask for donations to an Alzheimers charity in honor of Deloris Taylor Laughlin. I guess she's got it.
They were married for sixty years and did other constructive things after the heyday of those films. Running for office, though-- maybe ot such a hot idea?
Just as well Tom Laughlin never finished the "Billy Jack" screenplay he worked on in his last years. It would have been too sad-- Heroic Billy J. could kick the crud out of a lot of problems, but not cancer, dementia, or arthritis, not to mention terrorism, internet crimes, governmental misbehavior, and unemployment.

He was the_shit back in the day. And environmentally conscious before it was "cool". Dig it.
.
82? Wow...I would have never guessed he was that old. Billy Jack was a good movie. "I’m going to take my right foot, and I’m going to whomp you on that side of your face, and you know something? There’s not a damn thing you’re going to be able to do about it."

I remember as a kid growing up in San Diego, my dad used to take all of us kids to the drive in movies. Those Billy Jack movies were some of the best. RIP
