God Bless them........................
Just remarkable that such beauty was born from such ugliness. How they described the inner radiance and pure goodness of the" child they couldn't kill" made me tear up. Sweetness itself
This a very touching story. I sincerely hope this kid can continue to get the love he deserves. His grandmother must be a strong person to take on that responsibility and keep it up. It can be overwhelmingly hard to care for a person with his condition. They are blessed to have each other. Its nice to see a story like this these days.
I am the king of all things stupid!
This poor kid struck out when it came to his dad, but he drew the long straw when he got his grandma.
Gotta love a Grandma's love for her Grandson.

Today you could be standing next to someone who is trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness.
Carruth is about to be released.
Still talking about having a relationship with his son.
If you look at the individual quotes in the story, he comes across as the most out of touch motherfucker who ever lived. The overall impression one gets is that he can't figure out why people are "making a big deal" out of his past actions.

He's out. Hopefully he never gets within 5 miles of that kid.

As people have said: The Grandmother is the true hero
who raised the young man.
