I just saw this, and came here to see if it was confirmed. I'm not sure why this surprises me.

    Damn.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

Does anyone know if she was slated to present an award at tomorrow's Grammys?
Wow, 24 hours before they started and she's gone. Jesus.

Bet those producers are scrambling like mice trying to put together a montage.

I just read that she is not dead at all! Her rep says that anyway....
I knew that I did not want to be a statistic, that I wanted happiness within, and I wanted to be present because I knew what a great mover I was. I could move things and make things happen.

I just saw a friend post something on FB about it and searched online for truths. Sad.

I was never a fan, especially since she wasted her talent and became a human punchline in the last few years. She truly had a gift and she wasted it on that dumbass husband of hers and on drugs. It's a damn shame. RIP.

Okay, I know I'm wrong for this, but, LMAO! This is from the 2001 article that said it is a hoax. However, this time, it is for real.

    Whitney Houston

TMZ just announced Whitney Houston is dead.

According to our sources, Houston died at the Beverly Hilton hotel. A police crime lab vehicle was seen outside the hotel just moments ago (see below).

Houston won two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards during her record-breaking career. Her album "Whitney" was the first female album to ever debut at #1 on the Billboard Charts. She has sold 200 million albums world wide.

Houston holds an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from Grambling State University in Louisiana.

Houston had one child, Bobbi Kristina, with husband Bobby Brown. Houston and Brown were married from 1992-2007.

As Houston's death has not yet been confirmed by People, CNN, et al, I have merged the posts here. If confirmed, a mod with unmerge. I surfed it and there were several site that called it a rumor. Who knows? TMZ reported Michael Jackson's death long before it was reported on mainstream news.

This one is not premature, Whitney is dead. I was just showing the article from 2001 that said it was a hoax that people are referring to.

    Sad, but not unexpected.

What should scare the shit out of people about drugs is that even in this day and age, with all medicine can do (and with all the cash she had) they still took her down.

I'm sure however that we'll be hearing soon it was "pneumonia" or a "congenital condition"
You can't "nu uh" death. That's bad debating.
